Dr. Gary Edward Siegel, MD

Best anesthesia experience in over 15 surgeries! Dr Siegel explained procedure, what would happen. I remember going into operating room, awaking in recovery then to hospital room. Within an hour with hydration could walk and go home after hip replacement. I was informed and not overmedicated! Thank you Dr Siegel. 15 out of a scale of 10

The staff is very friendly, but he is unfriendly, made me feel like a second class citizen, and I absolutely hate going to him.

Question to Dr. Siegel: Why practice pain management when you leave patients under-treated and feeling lucky you even looked at their chart? Have you forgotten why you went into pain management, or are you just simply a sadistic person? Dr. Siegel is the partner of a practice with my primary pain management doctor, Dr. Stewart. I have been in pain management since a back injury over two decades ago and am careful with my treatment. I eat carefully, exercise, and take meds conservatively. In the three times I've dealt with Dr. Siegel I have been told there is no reason for my pain. Not once did he believe I hurt, especially after seeing me walk stairs. It was very obvious he didn't believe anything I had to say, nor did anything I have experienced carry any value whatsoever. He knew better. Period. Yesterday, after four days of being in level-5 pain I called in and Dr. Stewart was out of town. The PA said she'd speak with Dr. Siegel. The NEXT day I called back to remind them I… was waiting on an answer. Nearly six hours passed and they called back... Dr. Siegel says no. No questions, no treatment, no nothing... Sorry Dr. Stewart, but I gotta move along. Five days of fighting tears to hear this? I wish you the best. PS. The two stars are for the staff, who for the most part deserve more.

I am 50 years old and have never seen a doctor this bad. I never knew there were doctors who treat their patients as if they worked for him. He is rude and his personality is very dry. His office walls are covered with rules. His staff lied to me about an insurance matter. After verifying with the insurance company I pointed this out and was told to fill out a comment card. His office environment resembled a prison medical department. Do yourself a big favor and stay away from him and his practice. This is the most honest opinion I can offer!

Dr Siegel is not a compassionate doctor. I do not find fault with his medical expertise but his ability to provide ease, comfort and hope is lacking. And since these are important factors for people suffering pain, I would not recommend him for pain management.

I'm sure he is a great anesthesiologist. He is not a people person and is not focused on the patient. He is curt in his approach. I don't think it is personal but I wouldn't recommend him if you are interested in a doctor who seems concerned about you as a person. His nurses are just the opposite.
