Dr. Gary Lawrence Gross

This doctor makes harmful judgment calls on patients who come to him for care sight unseen. We went to him for a consultation, $100 for an eight minute phone call, audio only, in which he told my girlfriend that she was overweight and this would be a challenge to overcome. She’s a soccer athlete in excellent health but by his BMI and/or personal judgment scale she’s obese. This is not even in the realm of reality if a reasonable person had seen her in person and yet this was his professional diagnosis. The damage this kind of ‘shooting from the hip’ diagnosing can cause to patients is immeasurable and he probably makes these calls regularly. This is not a thoughtful scientific methodical physician who seeks facts before making the right call. This is dangerous.

Long wait times. Misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis. Did not order appropriate testing and misinterpreted others. Misrepresented surgery: did not report results that required 3 additional surgeries to correct. Substandard care. Ethical violator with "good old boy's club" mentality. Charges warranted: his professional file is flagged.

Awful, uncomfortable, and unprofessional. He was texting (!) another patient during my intake portion and then left me to wander around looking for him because he left me undressed, waiting for 20 minutes while he was on the phone with another patient. He then held his finger up when I found him sitting in his office. The actual pelvic exam....just say I will never go back.

Dr Gross is an amazing doctor. I saw him for a complicated condition after seeing many doctors before and no one could find a solution for me. Dr Gross was very patient, he listened carefully to all my symptoms and believed everything I said. He gave me the correct treatment and gave me regular follow ups. When I had a question, he called me directly and answered all my concerns. Dr Gross is very empathic and understanding.
