Dr. Gary Sackett, MD

Dr Sackett has always taken the time with me to explain things. Never made me fell like I was just a number. I wouldn't be here if I didn't like him or the CO office..

Dr. Sackett's arrogance and cynicalism caused me extreme and undue suffering. The first time i came to him seeking help he instantly assumed i was an opium addict trying to trick him into prescribing pain killers, although i have zero history of such shenanigans. I was in extreme pain and ultimately needed an operation. He treated me like a criminal or second class citezen, throwing a wrench in my healing process. It was a very difficult month that i endured before another doctor intervened on my behalf. I went to the emergency room 6 times, then Dr. Sacket says, "oh, well if your going to the emergency room so much i should order an MRI." Gee, thanks, genious. Too bad you thought i was just making it up this whole time. Then he gets the MRI and he says "wow, this is a huge herniation, pushing out directly dead center on the spinal cord. I better refer you to a specialist" but with this time going by the fluid that leaked out of my disk is reacting with my blood stream and… becoming all hard and gristly, really pushing and grinding on my spinal cord, and it feels as if the lower half of my body is intermittently on fire, then electrocuted, then fire again, 24 HOURS A DAY. Unfortunately, i still was referred back to this monster to get cleared for surgery. I'll never forget. He told me to get up on this table and lie down. I was hanging onto a thread of hope, in blinding pain, desperately trying to support myself with my arms on this walker in such a way that would put the least pressure on my spine. (Huge herniated disk) I simply told him, "i cant". Then he gets all mad and yelling telling me they cant do surgery. I ended up going to the emergency room another 6 times and finally the just kept me there at the hospital. No one ever beleives me. Dr. Sackett is good for check ups and mAybe some anti biotics, but he is against pain killers and when he is over his head he is to arrogant to make a refferal to a specialist in a timely manner. Save yourself some pain and suffering in the long run, stay away from this quack.

We have never had a negative experience. All questions are answered in a way that we understand them. Very caring. I would recommend him to anyone.
