Two Stars

Doctor Shaw removed my Thyroid in 2003 I notice a extra cut before leaving hospital. Asked nurse why there was a extra cut in the middle of throat. She said she have him come talk to me about it. He said taught he told my husband there was a accident and hit my throat. I figured that was a freak accident said would fix scar when he put my VNS in. When needed it done he didn't do them no more. So was sent to another Doctor and said when check vocal cords looked like was nicked. Went to Dr Shaw to ask if it he would check it out. He went off big time saw there was fine he didn't hit it. I was a little upset with him. So Still have scar on throat. And never really was told what happen. Other wise every visit was very good. I always wonder why he couldn't do VNS placement I can see why by some of the post. never sued because was a freak accident but wonder now if I should of?

Horrible Should have gone with my gut instinct

After 13 years of having sinus surgery with this incompetent Dr still have issues. I should have cancelled the surgery when my gut told me to. Do NOT go to this guy. Where to I begin...with the fact that he gave us his fax number to get in touch with him in case of emergency, or the fact that he went on a cruise without letting us know right after my surgery, the fact that he was an hour late to take out my nose packing after the surgery and when he did show up told me to be a big girl when I started crying because he just yanked the packing out, not to mention the fact that during surgery he nicked a blood vessel so I had constant blood clots after the surgery oh AND I contracted CDIF!!! Never did follow up with this guy. Had to have a second surgery by another Dr to correct his mistakes and to this day I still cannot sleep on one side due to my nose clogging up. Just awful!! If I could give negatives I would. Should have sued.

Home of the brutal "aggressive nasal over-resectioning" aka the Shaw-Job

Am so sorry to hear another person was disfigured by this butcher whom has the precision and skill of a slicer and dicer. More attention and awareness needs to be brought to negligent nose surgery and its ill effects.

Disfigured & Deeply Disappointed

Trust me, run far away from Dr. Shaw. Can't give the details now due to potential lawsuit. Ease in getting an appointment is a misleading category, because bad doctors generally have more availability than good ones.
