Dr. Gates E. Hoover, MD

Dr. Hoover had a resident with him. Dr. Hoover made five derogatory remarks about me, his patient, over the course of the hour appointment. Dr. Hoover would make the comment as he looked at the resident as if for recognition, approval, agreement. The Resident was silent. He never said a word. Dr. Hoover did not feel the lump in my neck. The Resident did, and asked me in my ear, very quietly, "Is that it?" as if he were afraid to speak. The comments were very unprofessional and rude. It wasn't merely the words, but the manner in which they were spoken. This guy is a piece of work.

We love the quality care we receive from Dr Hoover and his staff. They spend generous amounts of time with each of my children when evaluating their ailments and allergies.

He's the best of the best

As an allergen/asthma adult patient, I appreciate the way the entire staff are caring, want to get you well, listen well, treat appropriately. Allergy shots given immediately upon arrival by the nurses. I have observed when someone experiences a reaction, they are taken back immediately to be checked & treated. Dr Hoover hand writes the instructions so there is no discrepancy which is MOST appreciated he takes his time to do this & truly cares enough to give his personal cell phone # to call if you have an illness in off hrs.
