Dr. Gautam Paul, MD

This guy interviewed my in the ER as a hospitalist at St. E. Fort Thomas. I had come there for severe pain in my back. He asked questions but never bothered to wait until I answered them. He jumped to the conclusion I was withdrawing from alcohol and whisked me off to St. E. in Florence, where they kept me for 4 days, staring at me as they waited for me to have a seizure. Of course, the seizure never happened, because I had not had a drop to drink for 6 months. Only on the last day I was at that other hospital did they bother to get me any help for what I came in for--my back. I think his desire to get rid of me to another hospital was based on another negative encounter I had with him over my father's care, where he insisted on over-ruling the surgeon put in charge of my father's clogged carotid arteries. To top it off, he had St. Elizabeth erase from his rating from my negative review about that debacle. My encounter with Dr. Paul are easily the most bizarre and ridiculous health… care experiences of my life. Not only shouldn't this be hospitalist, he shouldn't be a practicing doctor.
