I find her to be very caring and thorough

Dr Shekarappa was recommended to me by my "treatment support team". They all said he was the very BEST! I don't really know because I only seen him for a few months, and then was given an appointment with his wife Dr. Kamat. I was there to be upfront and honest about my treatment team being tightly in place & that I had 10yrs of recovery from an eating disorder under my belt. And also that I would like my dr to take over my thyroid issues instead of my OBGYN. However, Dr Kamat never let me finish a full sentence! She over-talked me, interrupted , and got angry the more I tried to explain my reason for making the appointment! I left the appt accomplishing nothing. She told me that Shekarappa's office could not treat me, that was my psychiatrist job. I tried to explain a psychiatrist just disown medication and I'm off all meds. She was very discourteous & lacked the ability to comprehend what I was saying. She refused to treat my hypothyroid issues & told me she did not want me to come… back to office for 4mo!!! Anyone with thyroid issues, knows that's insane! -I left this appt and sat in car bawling for like 20min then went straight to each doctor within my treatment team (the one that sent me there) and notified them of ALL that had just taken place. Many doctors have no education of eating disorders, I know that! But, this little ignorant lady puts her panties on JUST like I do!!!! And at the very least I deserved respect & compassion. I believe she heard the words "eating disorder" and lacked the proper english skills to understand anything else I was saying. Whatever the reasons of misunderstanding she is the most hurtful, careless, & negligent doctor I have ever came across in my life and I am a 51yr old military wife...I have had many different primary care providers! I will absolutely will not ever go back and be subjected to this type of mistreatment! She is a nutcase & I will never forget her cruel behavior & uncaring demeanor! I only hope I am able to use this experience for GOOD someday!

Loved her, she spent quality time with me. Office staff was very friendly.

Wonderful experience with Dr. Kamat, she is warm, kind and cares about her patients. She spent a considerable amount of time with me, taking care to order tests that needed done and made sure that I had all information I needed. The Staff is wonderful, kind and caring.

Horrible person and mediocre doctor. The office is run very poorly! Many mistakes that they won't admit to. Run as far as you can.

I CAME IN DUE TO PROBLEMS WITH MY BP DESPITE THE MEDICINE IM TAKING. SHE HAD MY BP TAKEN AND SAID YOUR HAVEHIGH BP. DIET AND EXERCISE WILL HELP. REALLY I KNOW I HAVE A HIGH BP. THATS WHAT I CAME IN FOR. THANKS FOR THE HELP.

My experience with her, is she doesnt listen to the patients. I told her I was having severe pain in my abdomen an she told me that, she didnt think it was anything only my menstraul pain comming on. Well later my Gyn found that I had Ovarian Cyst and endometriosis. Lady if you dont know what ppl have then order test on them, dont just guess at what they have. Doctors like this all around make me mad. I am not a test dummy Im a person that was in pain. Doctors dont do what they are suppose to anymore an she is one of them
