Dr. Geeta Krishnapriyan, MD

I have nothing nice to say about Dr. Krishna. She has sound medical knowledge, which initially impressed me. However, this knowledge is useless if you can't apply it in an individualized way to patients or are unable to acknowledge patient progress. Dr. Krishna was not able to talk to me meaningfully about anything other than the fact that I am overweight. She also dismissed all my diet, exercise, and other lifestyle changes because they did not result in a lower number on the scale and told me that I was "letting my weight get out of control." I was trying everything I could to lose weight, trying really hard, but because it didn't work, I continually told that I needed to start caring about my weight and do something about it. She did not want to listen to what I was doing about it, and therefore was not able to help me be more effective at it. At one point, she told me weight loss was simple. She also talked about my weight (and how I was failing to lose weight and needed to try… harder) at EVERY appointment, which made me dread going in for things like a simple UTI. I just switched PCPs. It's a relief and a shock to be treated politely and as a partner in my own health care. However, I may be facing a diagnosis of either a genetic condition that is somewhat manageable or of a more serious condition, like cancer. I am still in the process of getting tests that will rule which of these it is. These tests were ordered by my new PCP based on symptoms I was reporting- and that I had reported to Dr. Krishna. She told me that she was CERTAIN I was healthy in every way except for my weight, and that I just needed to focus on that. Looks like she was wrong. If her generic, WebMD-esque advice happens to match up with a patient (as it likely does for MOST patients), Dr. Krishna is probably an okay physician. If there is anything wrong with you that doesn't match her preconceptions about a patient or that isn't "usual", she is not very good at the listening and questioning that go into identifying something is wrong. If you are overweight, I think this is even worse. She seemed to take my weight as proof of my non-compliance with her medical recommendations and my own care, and often lectured me about behaviors that included occasionally drinking decaf coffee with cinnamon ("there is no reason to ever drink anything but pure water").

Visiting this doctor is like going for fast food at Mc Donalds and getting bill for five star hotel. She spent <5 minutes for questions I had.Very quickly checks you. Don't give information related to insurance and charges very high in advance. Don't waste $$$$ on this doctor.

She scolds you for not remembering all your medication and doses. Wrong dignosis of PPD hence ended yp spending for X-Ray and CT scan.Very expensive but disguises the expenses but not telling upfront what all will be required for routine Immigration test.

I had a very good experience with Dr: Krishnapriyan. She asked the right questions and recommended effective medication.This is far better than the treatment I received in El Camino hospital. But for doctors like Krishnaprian, People like me would never be able to survive in the current, over priced, corrupt medical system we have !

Dr. Krishnapriyan is a very caring Doctor and is very good at diagnosing variety of ailments. In my case, she rightly diagnosed the cause of recurring infected adult Acne on my face to be linked to a possible high sugar condition. A blood test revealed high sugar, high cholesterol, etc. Every few weeks I would get these painful Acne and it would never go away without getting infected. She put in on antibiotics and helped with recovery as well as suggesting OTC remedies to help prevent infections at the outset. Thanks to her diagnosis I also became aware of my sugar problem. She was very good at following up for further visits and greatly encouraged me with the benefits of lowering my weight and controlling diabetes. I find the other comments in the negative to be very surprising.
