Dr. Akerkar is a wonderful caring gastroenterologist. She explained everything to me both before and after my procedure so that I would fully understand what she was doing abd her findings. I would definitely recommend her as a gastroenterologist.

I have been with Dr. Akerkar for many years. She is not only very professional, caring, so are her staff, always returning phone calls when needed and answering questions. I have moved to Florida, found doctors to go to, which is not an easy task, but came to Massachusetts to have my procedure done by Dr. Akerkar, I know I'm in good hands with Dr. Akerkar. As long as I can travel, I'll be coming to MA every 5 years to have my procedure done. Thank you for your professionalism along with your compassion, humor and your staff for helping long distance. Ive been seeing Dr Akerkar since 2008. She has helped me and my family so much. I have colitis, one of my Daughters has crones and my other daughters has a gluten intolerance. She has a great bedside manner. She knows everything about what is going on with all of her patients. I highly recommend her to anyone who is having problems.

horrible physician does not care of the health of her patients. I had a reaction to the medication she prescribed & it took 3 weeks for her to reach out. No sense of urgency and does not care.
