Dr. Genaro Jesus Gutierrez, MD

After having pain for 20 years and seeing multiple doctors, Dr. Gutierrez has been phenomenal doctor and a gift from above. Not only does he take time to listen to all of your medical background, he keeps your best interest at heart. He truly cares about his patients and instills hope in times when you feel there’s nothing anyone can do to help you feel better. Dr. Gutierrez is a compassionate, empathetic, personable, and highly skilled doctor. When you have had to cope with long term pain, his ability to smile and laugh spontaneously goes such a long way. He is quite humble and doesn’t know the impact he has on so many lives! I disagree with those posting negative comments. Anyone who complains about him must have either unrealistic expectations or unwilling to listen to his expertise. I HIGHLY recommend him!!!

Dr. Gutierrez is a very good doctor. Him and I have had very long discussions about my care not only in order for me to be comfortable with my treatment plan, but he takes the time out to completely explain the treatment as well. Dr. Gutierrez and I did discuss pain medication and when I told him what I would not take he said, “Good I’m glad we can agree on that”. Anyone that’s talks differently about him must have other issues. He is a “Pain Management” Doctor, not a pain cover up with a lot of pain meds doctor. I had a pain management doctor not listen to me in the past and I trusted him. Thank God I only took the prescribed medication for a few months and was able to stop taking it. I told him NO Addictive pain meds. About 2 months later I found out what withdrawals felt like. Not with Dr. Gutierrez, he listens and truly wants to help is patients.

Dr. Gutierrez treated me like an idiot. Not once but repeatedly. I had knee surgery and had to stay in the hospital 2 extra days to get the pain under control. He immediately cut the meds in half when I was discharged. He also cut my rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia meds in half. Both my orthopedic surgeon and rheumatologist insisted I leave his practice. Dr. Gutierrez is also difficult to reach both during office hours and outside of them. He left me without pain meds over Labor Day weekend, knowing that my surgeon had only given me enough until that Friday. He simply didn't care. During office hours, he plays a crazy phone tag game using his staff. It is ridiculous and very unprofessional!
