Dr. Gene Lavere Krishingner, MD

If I can stop just one woman from going here, this review is worth it. My experience, start to finish, is the worst doctor's visit I have ever had to go through. Coming in with many fears, I expected to meet a considerate doctor who would calm my concerns. That could not be farther from what happened. After undergoing a scary procedure, Dr. K stood with his hand on the door as I tried to ask him questions. It felt like I was the last of his concerns. Not to mention he did not even warn me as to the steps of my visit or talk me through ANY of it as he was treating me. There is scientific research which proves that knowing what to expect decreases pain perception: "when surgical patients are told what to expect, they request less pain medication, leave the hospital earlier, and report less overall pain." I wish I would have been granted this luxury. Instead, my concerns were blown off and I was not even given the time of day. Staff was unfriendly and inconsiderate. Do not go here.

At my first visit I had a mirena IUD placed, and I was reasonably happy with my experience there. Afterwards, I had a lot of issues and pain associated with the mirena, but I do not blame the doctor for this. When I was heading to the office 3 weeks later for a recheck, I ran into terrible traffic from an accident. I called the office to let them know that I would be about 20 minutes late as a courtesy. They informed me that they were too busy to see me. I explained to the receptionist that I was in a lot of pain and that this was not just a routine recheck. This office has multiple practitioners and it was not near closing time. Surely they could find someone to see me. I was willing to wait. They told me it was not possible and that they could not get me back in until the following week, at which time I’d have to come in two separate days (once for the ultrasound and another visit to see a doctor). I have never dealt with an OB who had such poor standards of care. You don’t let a… patient who is in pain wait, especially since I had an appointment!! I will not be going back to this office.

I went to Dr Krishinger after my obgyn stopped taking my insurance. I don’t know what his problem was with me as it appears from his reviews that many patients love him. However, he was condescending and showed a complete lack of compassion. Side note, one of his patient history questions is... “How many sexual partners have you had?” Please tell me how that is relevant? I had a miscarriage one month ago that was devastating for my family and me. Instead of saying something like, “Im sorry for your loss” Dr K chooses to tell me all the reasons why I shouldn’t get pregnant again... none particularly valid in my book. Then he tells me how by the time a woman reaches 40, she has a 1 in 20 chance of having a baby with Down Syndrome. Im only 34, but Im still curious where he gets his figures. Im disappointed that Dr K was such an unpleasant person. He does have a beautiful office and convenient location. I did my research when looking for a new obgyn. His reviews fooled me as this was by… far the absolute worst experience Ive ever had in a doctor’s office. He didn’t even say bye, have a nice day, take care, nothing... just walked out of the room and told me to leave a urine sample. And I paid for this?

Dr K is an amazing doctor! He has always mademe feel comfortable. I am a first time mom as well he gave me great instructions and explainrd to me exactly what I needed to do to stay healthy and keep my baby healthy. I absolutely adore Corrine and Mrs. Patel when Dr. K was busy they are who I saw and they took amazing care of me however I have to say the nurses there can be very lazy. I would recommend Dr. K to any one and I'm so glad to have found such an awesome doctor.

Dr. K was very nice and kind when I was healthy but not when I got sick. He would brush me off and tell me to do yoga and alternative things. I tried those things to no avail. A long time after, I ended up needing to get a sizable surgery performed that involved the effort of 3 different surgeons. I wish I hadn't been brushed off several times and told to find my own solution to my problem. Maybe I would have gotten better faster and maybe my problem wouldn't have gotten so bad. :/ Sorry to say all of this Dr. K. I'm sure you are a nice person...

Unfortunately the quality of doctors really only comes out when there are issues with the pregnancy/delivery. I ended up with a severe infection following the birth of my daughter. Dr Krishingner never checked me prior to me leaving the hospital. If he had checked me, he would have seen that I was not properly stitched up and probably saved me a great deal of grief. I now require "cosmetic" surgery in order to repair the area. An infection can happen to anyone, but if he had examined me in the hospital I could have been treated sooner and healed properly. Instead he ran quickly in and out of my hospital room and I left the hospital in extreme pain. Being a first time mom, I had no idea what was normal. Had he spent some time to ask me questions and examine me, he would/should have discovered that I was not properly stitched up and had an infection.

Dr. K is an amazing doctor. I have never had an issue getting in touch with his office or scheduling an appointment. I'll go onto say that his staff is phenominal. They always greet you by name and talk with me while I am waiting to be seen. As for the doctor I think he is very good. Everyone has to remember that even though you are there for 1 appointment he has to see so many patients a day! (I come from a medical background so it's likely easier for me to understand the wait sometimes lol). Even with waiting once Dr. K comes in he has always been attentive and answers all m e and my.husbands questions He remembers my file and asks how I'm feeling as soon as he gets into.the offfice. He answers all of our questions and never has an issue.giving.us more.information. I'd gladly recommend him to any friends or family and I plan to continue seeing.him even after my baby is born.

"Dr. K" is so sweet and kind to me. I have been to both women and men GYN doctors, and he is definitely the best and has made me feel most comfortable. He discovered an issue about two years ago that needed surgery as a precaution. He took time to explain everything to me and put me at ease. He has a very professional demeanor, yet he's great at helping with "nerves" by saying something that makes me smile. My surgery went great with no complications, and has healed perfectly. I am so glad he continues to watch over me and ensure that I stay healthy. He has recently moved his practice and I will follow him . He's the best!
