Very thorough at getting to the root cause of the problem I have a little girl who has always been sick he was able to shed light to a few things and make sure she had some relief.

Be prepared to wait forever to see the doctor when you make an appointment. Each time we go we spend a minimum of 2 hours in the office. The first time we were there we spent 3 hours in the office and only spent about 15 minutes with the doctor. The last time we went we made the appointment directly after lunch as to be the first patient to see the doctor. He didn't even arrive back in the office until 40 minutes after lunch ended and kept us waiting again. I have been very disappointed with the amount of time I have to wait to see the doctor and I feel like he doesn't value our time as much as he does his own.

Dr. Petty is great at what he does and my son LOVES him! I first took my son in for testing when he was 6. He was scared but Dr. Petty was able to reassure him. I have heard negative remarks, there is a negative review right now on another site due to wait time. Allergy testing isn't quick. We were told to plan for a minimum of a 3hr appointment (it only took 2.) It takes time to do the testing and everyone is different. Some people can't sit and have all of it done at once, they have to take a minute or two between each set of pricks. So given that, yes, some appointments WILL take longer than others. Also, Dr. Petty is very thorough. He takes his time and answers ALL of your questions. He is not one of those rush-hour docs that tries to push you out the door cast so he can get the next appointment in and out. I don't mind waiting on a Dr. that practices this way, because I can rest assured he will do the same for me. So to Darling, next time you are mad because you are waiting too… long for a Dr., think about the patient in that exam room and put yourself in their place. Do you want your Dr. to rush you out the door with unanswered questions because his next appointment is in the waiting room tapping their toe?
