Dr. Genon Michelle Wicina, MD

Best children's doctor in town. The office staff gets an A+ also. I would not take my children anywhere else. I have 3 and all 3, ages 11, 12, and 16, see her since birth. Out of all the doctors in the hospital that examined my first born, Dr. Wicina was the only one to detect my son's PDA.

We have been seeing dr. Wicina since my first born was an infant. All of my children love doctor Wicina and Nurse Susan! This is a traditional medical office, not integrated, but they are very open-minded and listen graciously when I don't always agree with the more traditional approaches and want to try natural things first.

Dr Wicina was one of a few Dr.'s that had been recommended to us after my wife gave birth at the Martin Memorial Hospital in downtown Stuart. The only reason we choose her as a pediatrician is because she happened to be at the hospital when we needed to make a decision on a Dr. After doing some research we decided not to vaccinate our daughter and though Dr Wicina is very pro-vaccine (like most Drs who get kick-backs from pumping children full of toxins) she had no problem keeping us as a patient after I explained that we weren't going to be doing any more vaccinations. We had three subsequent appointments and felt a heavy judgement from her staff and office. These are people whose knowledge of vaccines extends to the literature they are sent from the vaccine companies or the CDC. They seem to want to dismiss the stories from real parents who have seen their children have issues after certain vaccinations. We were just recently in for our daughters 9 month check-up and after checking… in they instructed us to wait outside of the Dr's office with no explanation why. When I went up and asked why, she lady at the front desk explained that it's because they don't want to put other children at risk. Not only is this unprofessional but it's also uneducated and unethical. We called Martin County Hospital and got a list of other Dr's in our area. After talking to many of them they were disgusted and appaled to hear that we had been treated like that. We obviously won't be going back to Dr. Wicina. We had also felt that there was always a certain amount of arrogance combined with an unprofessional staff that raised caution with us since our first appointment.

Something has changed here - for the past few visits. Dr. Wicina greets me with - "you can discuss the ONE main issue you are here for today - make an appt for the others." I hate to say it - but so arrogant and in your face rude. I was so upset I posted on FB (without her name about the one item per visit ridiculousness for my child and FIVE other moms private messaged me to ask if it was Dr. W 'cos it sounded just like her - LOL - I guess I am the last to know. So....Okaaay (one issue ONLY per visit) maybe she had a bad day - so I still tried - I made another appt - at the next appt she said the SAME thing. Really? One whole visit for one question about a leg cramp and that's it! Another visit to ask another question. Dr Wicina is excellent Doctor for diagnosis and medical knowledge, but her brusque manner is really getting beyond a joke; last time I checked I was the paying customer! The waiting room looks emptier every time I go in. I guess her customer's would like to be… welcomed and not be told what Dr. W won't for doing for them the second she walks thru the door. Very sad - we are now looking for another pediatrician.

Dr. Wicina is an Excellent Doctor!! She is always helpful, smart, correct diagnosis even when I don't want to hear it & I love her office staff too!!

I took my son to see Susan and he commented after we left that "he had fun at the doctor." Now that is a miracle! Thanks Susan!

My first visit was with Dr. Wicina. I had heard from everyone I asked that she was amazing so I was excited to have my children become patients.She was rude, arrogant and she was trying to get us out of there as quick as possibe. And clearly, doesn't care about your input on your own children.Also, the staff treats you like you're invisible. They don't listen and it's like you're bothering them.

Actually a good general practice doctor for kids. If you have "special" concerns for your child, see a specialist. This doctor has great potential and needs to listen to the parents more. Her staff is very loyal to her and semi skilled with soothing children.
