Since 1991 I have been in five car accidents and a roller coaster accident, none were my fault. Five years ago, I was rear ended at 65 mph and in the hospital for two days. I was in constant pain and back spasms that left me miserable, depressed, without sleep, ruined all things personal and career wise.Treatment was medication, cortizone shots, massage, TENS machine and physical therapy but nothing worked. Dr. Tyson's treatment cured me and changed my life for the better. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

When Dr. Sandler retired it left myself and hundreds of other patients scrambling to find a new pain specialist. I was told over the phone, it was cash only, no new patients for the doctor, the PA would see me for cash only, and despite the 9 years of detailed medical records, they did not handle pain with medicine.

I first visited the extraordinary Dr. Tyson and his exceptional PA Craig Whitfield in 2010. I had been on disability from work for more than 2 months. My job was beginning to appear in jeopardy. Within 30 days of Dr. Tyson doing Cervical and Lumbar injections and Craig Whitfield writing the perfect blend of medications, I was back at work in 5 weeks and taking little or no medication at all! I had been seeing paing doctors for several years prior, with disappoinitng results to say the least. Dr. Tyson and Craig are miracle workers. As both Dr. Tyson and I are hockey players (he is pretty good by the way :-)) I can only say that his intellectual curiosity is refreshing as a physician and his innovative procedures and thoughtful nature have made him the the very best at his job in this part of the country. I should know, I have seen many. His accuracy with his injection methods are so groundbreaking I would need to use a hockey comparison to articulate his talent and accuracy. I can say… without reservation or exageration, "Dr. Tyson is the Wayne Gretzky of Spinal Injections" and the "Conn Smythe Stanley Cup MVP" for pain management. My gratitude for his helping me to meet my goals personally and professionally leave me eternally grateful to this outstanding man of medicine!

Dr. Tyson and his crew are excellent except that they are so busy you are lucky if you see the same person twice. Keeping that in mind you have to watch your charts. After looking at mine I found a lot of material that was not to be true. They are so busy that they focus more on the charts then on the patient. Also they are never available to speak with their patients. I tried contacting Dr. Tyson via the phone and was told the only way he talks to you is via his staff. I felt as if I was a number not a person.

As a chronic pain patient with a degenerative disease I have seen many many specialists over the course of several decades. I must commend Dr. Tyson and his PA, Craig Whitfield, for their continued efforts on my behalf to manage my pain using a combination of interventional procedures and medicine. I would imagine that, in some ways, it would be as discouraging for a doctor to not see progress as it would be for the patient. However, pain management, like all medicine is an imperfect science. Results are unpredictable in many cases. As patients we need to understand this. But what is exceedingly important is that the patient have an aggressive advocate in their physician. Not only for driving the decisions for the physical outcome, but providing help and support with the nontrivial effects of the emotional and psychological roller coaster as well. I feel that Dr Tyson and Mr. Whitfield are committed to giving a patient population, that is often simply given up on, lives that are… as full of hope and pain-free as they possibly can. And sometimes, just sometimes, miracles really do happen.

DR. TYSON IS THE BEST DOCTOR THAT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. HIM AND HIS STAFF ARE SO KIND AND CONSIDERATE AND REALLY CARE ABOUT THERE PATIENTS. I LIKE THEM ALL SO MUCH THAT EVERY MONTH I EITHER BRING THEM COFFEE OR DONUTS FOR THEM ALL.
