Dr. George Sheldon Bassett, MD

Dr. Bassett is incredibly knowledgable--I have no doubt when he tells me something he knows his stuff. He always shows us as much as possible using tablets and technology. He is very limited in time--his visits are very thorough but also quick (but very kind and caring as well), and don't be shocked if he leaves details to his medical assistant or nurse to explain. I don't mind this because I know his staff is trained and he wouldn't trust them if they didn't know what they were doing. The people in the office are usually pretty stressed with the amount of patients and work they have and yet they manage to be courteous, friendly and helpful. Again, if you are looking for a doc or staff to sit and have long conversations with, this isn't the office. If you want experience, knowledge and efficiency--this is the place. (I also have to say I appreciated when my son had an emergency being worked in the same day.)

Dr. Bassett speaks down to you verses taking time to help patient and parent understand the details. Ask a question and you will see my point. Front office very unorganized. Right hand doesn't know what the left is doing. This may be part of his problem.

Diaganosed my son with bulging disc when he had a stress fracture of the back. Either to busy or not a very good doctor as my research tells me approximately 60-70% of the time this is the issue with a child playing sports. He was talking surgery and craziness, when really he should have looked at the MRI to see what he was missing. Would not recommend this doctor.
