Dr. George Bolen, MD

Rude and impatient. Dismissive of symptoms.

I always consider Dr. Bolen the best Gastro in Bethesda area. He is attentive, caring, and effective. A couple office administrative things to consider: 1. HIPPA/Privacy verbiages are too confusing. Particularly on sharing/not sharing medical information. Looking for a revised version. 2. Check-in papers could have been mailed to patients prior to office visit. 3. At check out, I requested a time change on my op day. The worker with title 'Scheduling Coordinator' who faced me, told me to call back because 'we are very busy'. I raised my voice and she did it in few clicks. So either she needs to re-take customer service training; or looks for a different career.

Doctor is thorough and thoughtful. Staff are excellent in terms of communication and organization. Never a wait. Very nice office space.

Over the years that I have seen Dr. Bolen, I feel that he is very knowledgeable in caring for me. He makes sure that you understand and always ask if you have any further questions.

Dr. George Bolen is one of the most exceptional medical doctors that we have ever met. We rate Dr. Bolen as outstanding (5-stars) in all respects. He have been fortunate to be under his care for more than 25 years. Outstanding is a rating above excellent.

Seems to want to get you in and out of the office visit. Provides information very briefly and when you have a question, just answers it without much consideration or emotion. Forgetful of your history, also. Does not make one feel good leaving his office.
