Summary
George Goodstein, M.D., is a native of the Pacific Northwest and through his travels has seen the extremes of health care. "I think it is important to balance the desire to ?test and treat? with what really meets the goals of patients. Sometimes less is more", he says. After receiving his medical degree from the University of Washington, Dr. Goodstein completed his residency in internal medicine at Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland. He also completed a fellowship in geriatric medicine at the Philadelphia Geriatric Center and a fellowship in hospice and palliative medicine at the Portland Veterans? Hospital.
After moving back to Oregon from California, he now enjoys dog ownership and growing things. Dr. Goodstein also enjoys keeping fit through exercise and trying out all the new restaurants in Portland.
