The worst

The staff was great, they are professional, kind and efficient. However, my experience with Dr Grillon was mortifying and anything but. In fact, it was the direct opposite! He was devoid of any courtesy, he never uttered a two letter greeting and did nothing to interact with me. Instead, he acted agitated, and seemingly annoyed by the presence of work in his chair. He appeared to be a tall, messy looking, ready-to-retire curmudgeon, irritable in disposition. (He'd entered the room earlier for a second, frowned and left hurriedly before he came back) He erroneously assumed I was "on the phone" when he returned (I had my headset on listening to music while I waited for him to calm myself before my extraction) I tried to tell him this, but he was raising his voice and ranting I couldn't get a word in. He wildly pointed to a small sign, yelling I wasn't following directions about being on the phone, bending down in my face. (I was reclined in the chair) I finally managed to say, "What phone? I was listening to my music for my anxiety. What are you talking about?" And, "Stop! I am not a child for you to talk to me in this manner. "But, not before he invited/threatened to not do the procedure and for me leave and choose to go elsewhere! I was incensed. It took everything in me and a level head to not get up, get back my pre-paid fee and leave. However, I had waited months for the appointed and decided to just get it done. By this time, my anxiety has risen tenfold. Now, I was fearful of him hurting me purposely out of retaliation. (He didn't, but my fear was real) The procedure went by smoothly, quickly and painlessly, thank goodness. He also did seem to embarressingly utter an apology as he left, for our auspicious beginning. However, the damage was done. I was livid at being talked to so disrespectfully, humiliated in front of his assistant (who looked scared witnessing that scene) and more stressed than when I walked into the office, and afraid, all the while I was in the chair of what he could do to me. Clearly, grumpy Grillon has lost the ability to extend simple respect to his patients, doesn't appreciate them, has anger issues and NEEDS to retire. PATIENT beware he is a loose cannon and a bully of a physician. I will NEVER go back to him and will swallow my stitches before I'd ever choose to see him again!

Very unprofessional , very painful. Seemed to be amused that I was 8 months pregnant crying in his chair while removing my wisdom teeth. Still in extreme pain 4 days later and was told I was not doing what I was supposed to be doing for aftercare

Dr. Grillon did a fine job removing my daughter's wisdom teeth. Not overly friendly, this includes his assistant. His insurance/billers are not very bright. DO NOT GIVE ANY MONEY UPFRONT, YOU WILL NOT SEE ANY REFUND IF YOUR INSURANCE PAYS MORE THAN THE OFFICE STAFF EXPECTS. Apparently this office doesn't follow the insurance contracts for which they participate with, and do not accept the insurance rates.

Dr. Grillon seemed to be skilled in his work, but his people skills and personality were lacking. Also, the office staff was a little difficult to deal with.

Terrible staff. Very snobby oral surgeon. So many issues. The staff rarely let me speak to the doctor over the phone when I had questions about the pain I was having. As a result of the pain, I developed dry socket. The surgeon could careless. He has no bedside manners. And, he seemed as if something was humorous to him while I'm crying in the chair. Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy.

My personal experience with Dr. Grillon has been nothing less than a painful (literally) disaster from the start. He is rough, sarcastic and judgmental. I'm really not sure why he's an oral surgeon because it sure seems like he hates his job. If he weren't his own boss, I'm NOT hesitant to say, he would NOT be employed. Please consider another Doc to handle your mouth and teeth with gentle kindness. If that's what you want, he surely doesn't fit the bill.

The staff at dr. Grillon's office are very nice, professional, and polite. However, in meeting Dr. Grillon, he was prompt, quiet, and very distant. By this I mean he comes into the room,he says h, he tells you to open your mouth, he looks in it, walks away and then tells his staff to do whatever. So there are no interpersonal skills there at all. He speaks to a staff loudly and unprofessionally which makes the patient very uncomfortable. He did perform surgery on me which failed and then claimed that he wasn't able to do corrective surgery because of facility issues. His bedside manner lacked any sort of sensitivity and he failed to communicate any of the post-op care to the point that the nursing staff was confused as to what to tell me. I would not ever recommend this doctor to anyone I personally know for fear of this doctor causing additional harm. Enter at your own risk but if you like arrogance and passive aggressive behavior then go for it.

Horrible experience with this doctor. So bad that I wish instead of writing this review that I could hang a sign on his front office door warning people not to go to him. He consulted with me for 10 minutes, and I was trying to ask him questions as he was backing out of my waiting room. He told me I needed jaw surgery (later, 3 other doctors would tell me I really did not need jaw surgery and would recommend much better treatment options). I also asked him if I could have the CD disc back with my previous CT scan on it and he wanted to keep it, told me he would get pre-authorization from my insurance and then call me the next week to make another appointment with me. I called his office twice a week for SEVEN WEEKS after my initial appointment. When I was lucky enough to talk to someone, it was always a new person on the phone (not surprised the girl that was there at my consultation was very confused and mistreated in my opinion). I feel like something shady was going on at his office, and thank my lucky stars that he never got organized enough to schedule me for an appointment to try a pre-surgical splint (again - other doctors did not recommend this and told me with my type of trauma that would not help). I also called his office and they promised me they would mail me the copy of my CD disc, but never did. I recieved a bill from him 7 months after my appointment and am still trying to get someone to answer the phone there so they can mail me the disc. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR. When I was in the waiting room, there was a wife trying to speak to the receptionist/medical assistant AND Dr. Grillon because her husband was indicating to her that he was in a lot of pain and swallowing blood on the chair and it was scary how Dr. Grillon didn't care and seemed to be hiding from them while the patient was in the chair after the procedure. I didn't know doctors like this could exist. Be careful!

Horrible experience. Very very painful, my first time at this practice after being referred by Carroll Hospital, the Dr. didn't introduce himself or have any interest in interacting with me or his patient before me. I was charged $50.00 more than quoted, when numbing the area of the tooth to be extracted he hit a nerve, twice!!! Sent me thru the roof. Then the day after my appointment I called the office to complain about much swelling and was told this is normal, I told them it was swollen very bad, they insisted it was OK. Two days later I was at the E.R. with a bad infection that was also A dry socket, due to the area not clotting for two days. Then when I went in for my follow up the doctor had left early and no one bothered to call me, wasted trip. I would not recommend this guy to my worst enemy. Worst dentist I ever saw, I should have waited until Dental 1 had an opening. Very very painful, if you are into pain and torture this is the man for you.

I have a molar extraction done and felt every single ounce of pain. I was raising up out of the chair and crying and He kept going with no acknowledge of the pain I was in. After about 10 mins of sawing and digging into exposed nerve, it was over. 5 stitches in my mouth and I have to go back to get them removed because he didn't put dissolveable ones in. Will never ever go back to this dentist. Only went because he was the only one who excepted my insurance well from now on, I'll pay someone to help me right.

A great gift to the poor souls who need oral surgery--especially children. Fantastic technical and surgical skills. A really nice guy underneath the crust. When you need an experience surgeon, this is the specialist for you.

Cleaning was superb--my hygienist did a fantastic job, took extra time to make sure all my coffee stains were gone, and my mouth felt amazing afterwards. Hands down one of the best dental visits ever.

Don't settle for competence when you can get excellence. Your teeth are too important to leave to anyone but the best!

He is simply the best dentist I've ever been to. He's congenial, friendly, but super smart and super thorough. He takes responsibility for everyone who works in the office from the receptionist to the hygienists...

The doc is the absolute best. I've had some very good dentists, and I've seen a few bad ones, but he is far and away one of the nicest and most professional I've ever met. Took great care to make me feel comfortable, reviewed my x-rays with me in detail, and emphasized that his office would make sure the insurance paperwork was taken care of because their job is to make my life easier.

These folks are amazing! The doctor is nice and gentle. The best dentist i ever had!

Ive had a fear of dentists for most of my life and this man has finally cured me! My visit was friendly, painless and the office didn't have that dental office smell that ive dreaded my whole life.
