Dr. George Caldwell has extensive expertise in the care of athletes and in sports medicine. He was Chief Team Physician for the Miami Dolphins for 17 years and cared for the Miami Marlins during their two World Series wins. He has also been the physician for a MLS Miami Fusion soccer team, the NHL Florida Panthers, and covers numerous high schools in the area. He has the thrill of being the Cirque du Soleil regional physician as well as a second opinion physician for the NHL.

His orthopedic training was at the renowned Hospital for Special Surgery (New York, NY). After, he had additional training by completing two fellowships, one at the University of Pittsburgh in Sports Medicine and one Shoulder Surgery Fellowship under Professor Christian Gerber in Switzerland.

Dr. Caldwell has operated on both of my shoulders, the one that was repaired 6 years ago has never given me any trouble since the recovery. The second one he repaired 4.5 months ago and I'm confident of the same result with this one. His staff are excellent and the whole process from beginning to end was seamless and professional. I would recommend him to anyone with any shoulder injury.

Dr Caldwell is a top notch surgeon and came highly recommended by both prior patients and numerous physical therapists. He did my first ACL in 2012 and my second in 2019. Tore both in separate skiing accidents. He is consistently developing new methods to make the surgery more successful but I’m sure he could do it with his eyes closed. Never had any issues, his bedside manner is perfect and his staff are awesome. Hopefully I never have to see him again but if I need another one I wouldn’t go to anyone else.

Dr. Caldwell is a very professional and compassionate doctor. He is an excellent doctor who takes the time to address any concerns.

Dr. Caldwell and his staff are beyond amazing! No one likes to hear they need surgery but if you find yourself in this situation, I highly recommend Dr. Caldwell. My shoulder surgery was precise and repaired to perfection. Can't thank you all enough!

Dr Caldwell repaired my knee. The surgery went fantastic, with minimal pain. With limited Physical Therapy in 6 weeks I was back riding my bike 6-8 miles a day !

Dr. Caldwell repaired my ACL with cadaver tissue two months after I injured it, and I am currently 10 weeks post-op and doing great! The surgical scar is very small, and his repair was so flawless that I never need the narcotics post-op. The staff at Florida Institute of Orthopedic Surgical Specialists were very helpful and compassionate (a special thank you to Marybeth and Maryellen for taking extra time to answer all of my many questions)! I hope I never have to go through ACL reconstruction again, but if I did I would absolutely go to Dr. Caldwell and his team again.

I was fortunate to have Dr. Caldwell repair my rotator cuff. He was very thorough, did xrays and an MRI then confirmed the damage. My surgery went great, minimal pain. He's very easy to talk to and spends time with each patient. His staff are always available by phone to answer any questions, and are very professional. Nice office, ample parking and easy access. Highly recommend.

Dr Caldwell supposed to be only a second opinion but I received many recommendations and after talking with Michael and Kim I made my final decision... they are kind and Michael was so patient... he answered all my questions....I was very emotional and anxious when I figured out that I need surgery but Michael spent all time necessary answering and explaining everything to me like a check list... I really recommend Dr. George and his team

His personnel is unprofessional, uncaring and deceitful. Except for Mary. They don’t know the mining of the word “ ethics “. Got my medical records from him and found a doctor that actually cares for his patients, not just for their money. If you are not surgical patient ( a cash cow) you will be completely ignored by Caldwell and forced to seek another doctor .
