Dr. George Auther Paletta, MD

Being in this Doctors presents is uncomfortable if you're not a player in a major league team you are nothing more than cattle to him. This Doctor doesn't care about any of your concerns doesn't respect you or job unless you're making millions. If you're blue collar hard working you will be disrespected by him and his staff. I made one of the worst mistakes of my life my putting trust Into this doctor and having him do surgery on my arm. My arm is and will forever be damaged from him and his work. I hope if someone reads this you will truly consider other options and not Make the same mistake i did. there are so many great doctors that will respect you and not treat you like cattle. Spare yourself a mistake and look other than this establishment and Dr. Paletta"

I just want to say what an outstanding job Dr Paletta did with my son's torn labrum. He did a great job from the very beginning and laid out a plan for my son to follow and I can say we followed it and my son is back playing baseball this weekend at 100% thanks to Dr. Paletta!!! Thanks for everything Doc!!!!!!

Just cause this guy works on Stl ball players means nothing it makes it worse. He cares nothing for the blue collar working people. Between his huge Ego and extreme dictatorship in the exam room you'll never get a word out and he most certainly doesnt even know what patient he is talking to reviews nothing. His female nurses are just as bad they're very unpleasant to communicate with on the phone super brash and rude dont be afraid to call them out on it. Wish he would of never let him cut on me. Go some where else!

He does not take the time to explain what the problem is or explain what the recommended treatment is , the staff in his office is awful, they do not care about you. I went back to my original Dr . I refuse to let him preform surgery on me I do not trust him , he does not care about my best interest .

The other reviewer was correct. You can never get Dr. Paletta on the phone to explain any results to you. Only the the athletic trainer will read back what Dr. Paletta has transcribed. The two other female assistants will also be the only ones following up with you and they are both brusque and not pleasant to deal with at all. Would never go back to this doctor again!

Dr. Paletta is as arrogant as they come -- not sure how he squeezed that enormous ego into the little exam room. After your office visit, don't expect to ever communicate directly with God, I mean Dr. Paletta, and don't expect that he will be able to give your situation much thought (unless, as previously explained, you are a celebrity/major league sports player) -- he is way too busy for the common folk. I saw Dr. Paletta for a second opinion prior to having knee surgery. After my initial visit with Dr. Paletta, I was left voice mails by his "athletic trainer." This, apparently, is how Dr. Paletta communicates the results of MRI's he orders. The first message was no more than a recitation of Dr. Paletta's dictation of the MRI findings, exactly as they were stated on the radiologist's MRI report, which was of absolutely no help to me (i.e., all medical jargon that means nothing to someone without a medical degree). Overall, it took one month to receive a second voice mail, again from… the athletic trainer, stating that Dr. Paletta reviewed my MRI and concluded I did not have a certain knee condition, which I already knew I did not have and was never in question (because it had been clearly ruled out after I had my first MRI). The problem for which I was seeking Dr. Paletta's help was totally ignored. My knee pain remains, but I will look for another orthopedist, and so should you. Don't waste your time here . . . unless, of course, you are a major league sports celebrity, which I am not. There are many other qualified orthopedists in the St. Louis area. Believe me, you will save time, money, disappointment, and frustration if you go to someone else.

Now I see why the baseball players go out of town for surgery. His office seems to be playing the Baseball card a little too much.

Excellent bedside manner. Never felt as though time was an issue--Dr. Paletta was thorough and wanted to be sure our daughter's concerns and questions (and ours) were addressed prior to, and following her surgery, as well as throughout her rehab. When he felt there may be an issue with her rehab, he addressed it directly. She came away from the surgery as good as new, setting a new personal record and garnering a conference runner-up finish in her final season as a collegiate javelin thrower.

You immediately are aware that you are with a Top Doc when you meet him.His examination process is thorough and he uses the latest and greatest technology to get thorough diagnostic evidence relating to your injury.Dr. Paletta's bedside manner is the best (you feel like you've known him your whole life) and if you have to undergo surgery you will feel comforted knowing it is someone of Doctor Paletta's caliber and his compassion who is preparing to perform a surgical procedure on your body.His Staff is incredibly professional, pleasant, and all about business. They take their craft very seriously and that helps shape a very positive patient experience.

The Anasthesiologist was superb, as were the Nursing Staff. Again, friendly and profoundly competent.Post Surgery has been more of the same. Pro Rehab (located in the same building as Dr. Paletta's Offices) boasts some of the best Physical Therapists and Athletic Trainers in the Region. They are approachable, humble, and precise in everything they do.If you need Elbow or Shoulder Surgery, it's worth the wait to trust your… body to Dr. George Paletta.
