Dr. George Sopko, MD

Dr. Sopko is an excellent Doctor. He is always very thorough and patient in discussing health issues. He encourages questions from the patient and makes sure that the patient understands everything. Never rushes through the appointment.

Dr. Sopko is not only an experient /knowledgable Doctor but a Well rounded One. I respect his total attention to what his patients bring to his office. His focus is not to get you in and out the door within 15 minutes or so but instead into exploring everything that the patient needs to address and understand. We need more doctors like him in our society. His passion and commitment to his work is commendable!!

Dr. Sopko is one of a kind. Especially now a-days when doctors send you off to another doctor, and then another doctor... He looks at the big picture and makes sure that all aspects are covered. He is challenged by unknown illnesses and really gets to the heart of the matter. He is knowledgeable about so many issues. He doesn't just sit there and shrug his shoulders. He asks pertinent questions and takes great action. I couldn't be happier with my doctor.

I strongly recommend Dr. Sopko to anyone seeking great primary care physician with a cardiology accent. He is extremely attentive to all my concerns and recommends a good plan to address my health issues. He also has a great psychological impact on me helping to handle anxieties, related to my heart condition. He always takes all the time necessary to spend with his patients never rushing through the appointments. After filling detailed transcript of the visit he makes sure no questions are left unanswered. On top of that he is a very cordial person with a great sense of humor. I always feel uplifted after my appointment with Dr. Sopko!

Dr. Sopko is a caring and proficient doctor with specialties in lung and heart matters. He listens to patient concerns, filters out irrelevancies, and attacks the diagnosis with humor and intelligence. He spends as much time as is necessary to flesh out the medical problem. He does not over prescribe non-pertinent tests and carefully assesses the results of ordered tests. I have been seeing him for 20+ years and have never been disappointed with his work. One drawback is that he only practices 1 day a week and is sometimes booked when needed. There is another physician at Four corners Medical who can see patients when needed. The staff is very responsive to patient needs, but occasionally misses something.
