Dr. George Michel Wadie, MD

George Wadie, MD, joined the staff of Sacred Heart Medical Center in 2007 as a general surgeon with a special interest in pediatric surgery. Prior to coming to Eugene he spent five years at Baystate Medical Center, a Level 1 trauma center at Tufts School of Medicine in Massachusetts, where he performed pediatric and general surgery and managed trauma cases. Dr. Wadie completed a two-year fellowship in pediatric surgery at Le Bonheur ChildrenÂ’s Medical Center at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, where he was exposed to the full spectrum of pediatric surgery cases. He has a special interest in pediatric laparoscopic and thoracoscopic surgery and works closely with physicians at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, both in person and via telemedicine, to care for pediatric patients at Sacred Heart. He is a native of Cairo, Egypt, where he graduated at the top of his class in medical school.
