Dr. Georgia Sotiropoulos, MD

Came into the ER at Holy Cross with a text book case of a Gallstones attack. Dr Sotiropoulos misdiagnosed me and said my pain was from whiplash from an accident years prior. The symptoms of a gallbladder attack are not like the symptoms of whiplash. I knew I was having a gallbladder attack and I begged for an ultrasound she she performed herself, very poorly I might add. She said see, like I said your gallbladder is clear. She was about to release me again but I kept telling her something was very wrong and the pains were different from the whiplash pain. I insisted on seeing an actual radiologist. So finally they sent one in and confirmed I was having a gallbladder attack. Well, Dr Sotiropoulos still released me and said for me to go home and make an app with my pcp. This was during Covid and my pcp didn’t have anything for 3 weeks. I explained my situation and they got me an app in 5 days. When my pcp saw me and the realists of the ultrasound she sent me straight to check myself into… the ER at Northridge Hospital where they performed the surgery that saved my life. No one there could believe me when I told them I had been to the ER at Holy Cross several days earlier. The surgeon at Northridge said the surgery should’ve been performed that day and I should’ve never been sent home. Honestly I don’t care this lady has “29 years” of profession. She couldn’t recognize the clear signs of a gallbladder attack, and had no clue how to use the ultrasound machine, did it to appease me and said I had no signs gallstones. I had several gallstones, not only that but the radiologist found there was a huge one blocking the entire neck of my gallbladder. DR Sotiropoulos is dangerous. If you come across her at any hospital your life will depend on your REFUSAL to see her. Ask to see someone else. Her medical license should be revoked.

In 2009 I suffered a miscarriage (my first and hope only time).Dr."non caring" Sotiropoulos was the coldest Dr. I have ever encountered. As she read my vitals and basically told me I was too old and my eggs were no good in her round about Dr. talk.. I was mentally ruined for almost 2 years! I even put off my wedding to my now and then wonderful husband.All I can say is thank God for the wonderful doctors that we do have in this world that are actually passionate about what they do! Especially those that throw you to the wolves as soon as they realize your not rich! Shame on Cedar Sanai Hospital for having such rude, unprofessional representation! Fire her!!!!

Georgia Sotiropoulos, typical of human being who has yet to discover empathy or compassion. All I can say is in my interaction with her she was dismissive, listened to at most 20% of what I said. I feel sorry for anyone who has to deal with her... and woe is thee who has to suffer under her care...
