Dr. Gerald N. Kadis, MD

We trusted Dr. Kadis due to how well he performed my grandpas brain surgery. So he performed back surgery on my mother and long story short left her nearly paralyzed with a floating piece (a secure section) floating in her spinal canal. Fast forward to living in pain and about to go under the knife with a trusted surgeon that was astonished at what Dr. Kadis did wrong! Thank God for my mother’s non willy nilly surgeon now!

Worse surgeon we have ever met. My husband had a spinal fusion and laminectomy/discectomy back in 2013 with Dr. Kadis. Before the surgery, the appointments we had with him were horrible. He would come in, go straight to looking at the charts and scans, and immediately went to recording himself on his handheld recorder. Afterwards he would get up and start inching to the door trying his hardest not to talk to us. If we DID happen to get a question out, he would answer with a vague, random answer that made no sense to us and he wouldn't explain it. After the first surgery, he was in severe pain, which I know thats normal after a surgery this big, But it was worse than that. A week later, we found out that one of the artificial discs he put in, was the wrong size, and it slipped out into his spinal canal. Dangerously close to his spinal cord. So back into surgery he goes. It was a long road to recovery. Its now been 6 years since the surgeries and he is in worse shape than he ever was.… Hes only 31 and is on disability because of this botched surgery he got. He used rods and bolts in his spine, along with the artificial discs. They are WAY to big for his body frame. Because of that, you can feel them through his skin. Every time he moves, his muscles and fluid buildup around the bolts just scrape over the hardware. He now has severe nerve damage and almost every disc in his back are now bulging. I hate seeing him in so much pain on a daily basis. Hes now addicted to pain medicine because they've been pushed down his throat since the surgery. We have tried so many things. His new doctor is almost to the point of just doing an ablation and severing the nerves in his spine so he no longer can feel pain back there. We want to sue Dr. Kadis, But we dont have the money for an attorney due to medical bills. So we dont know what to do other than just deal with it. Being 31 years old and having to live his life this way is horrible. Thats no way to live a life. Especially when there is so much you want to do.

I had back surgery in 2010 and he was a great Dr he did all nessicary test and a 9 1/2 hr surgery the only thing i had a problem with is his bedside manners.and after surgery he basically thinks everything should be ok and really dont have much for you . But all n all this Dr does know what he is doing he is brilliant!

If your on pain management, make sure they know what medications u will need if u have surgery with Dr Kadis

Dr. Gerald Kadis done back surgery on me 2 weeks ago, he cut me all most 12 in. And worked on all different stuff in in my back . My experience with him he as been great so far .

This SURGEON is a "Michaelangelo" in my opinion! I had a critical condition in my low-back and he had my surgery done in a matter of Hours!! When I stood up after surgery I felt my back had never been injured. I will not see any other surgeon as long as he is practicing and can operate on me!

Absolutely amazing doctor. Fast office visit. Proper tests requested. Speedy diagnosis. Prompt surgery. He checked in daily. I highly recommend Dr. Kadis.

I visited this doctor a few years ago for a work related injury. This doctor clearly told me that there was nothing wrong with me after having an MRI done, showing nerve impingement, bulging discs at several areas of my cervical spine. However, he took me out of work for almost 2 years. As of today I still do not have a clear diagnosis of what is going on with me.

This Dr has absolutely no bedside manner. Our overall experience with him was that he was rushed, unconcerned with patient questions and patient concerns. If you need your questions answered then you better get them answered before surgery because you will not get much from him afterwards. Even the consultation with the relatives right after surgery was almost nil to none, he did not sit down with my relatives, just stood at the door and said, "Everything went good", then turned around and left.

would highly recommend this doctor to anyone. speaks so as you can understand him and listens to all questions. have no problem.
