This doctor used to be caring. Now he's about the money.

He truly cares about his patients. I had hep C for 20 years before I became his patient. I went through all the many trials that were available. Then in 2015 the FDA approved Harvoni and it worked for me. I have been hepatitis free since then. I had it for 40 years so it messed up my liver pretty bad. I still see him and he still cares about how I'm doing.

I came in for an upper endoscopy for hiatal hernia, GERD symptoms, and other digestive symptoms. I came into the office and the entire office staff, as well as some of the nurses, were sneezing and coughing with some kind of bug which was off-putting. The procedure itself felt rushed without much time to discuss concerns or symptoms but went well with no major complications. However, I was sedated with 100mcg of fentanyl and 4mg of versed without an anesthesiologist, and at a very high dose for someone with a BMI of 16.5 and do not remember the procedure but experienced bad side effects afterward. I did not have a call to check on me as the doctor had claimed I would the next day, and I later found out that the office closed early which was the reason I could not reach them. The option of the on-call doctor was to be seen in their ER in order to speak to the doctor but he would not talk to me over the phone, which is a complete scam. I have been waiting for two weeks to hear back about… my biopsy results and have had to call the office numerous times every day just to get the medical assistant to speak to the doctor about my questions on the diagnoses and medication side effects or interactions and relay his responses back to me.

I have never met a more caring and competent doctor as this one. His bedside manner makes you feel special. He got me started on curing my Hep. C virus. Without his help I would not have lasted 5 years. He tells it like it is and if you don't listen to him you have no one to blame except yourself. Hep. C is curable you just have to make some life style changes. Drinking alcohol when you have Hep C is like throwing gasoline on a fire. Hep C loves alcohol it make the virus spread faster. I also am a firm believer in MILK THISTLE it is the lean cuisine for your liver. Take a few of these everyday with your vitamins and your liver will love you for it.

Gerry has a great sense of humor and always treats me well. And I admit I can be a "difficult" patient. He never fails to explain what he is doing and why.

He has a rep for being great in town but all he is isa fast talker. He is not even board certified.
