Dr. Gertrude A Findley-Christian, MD

Dr. Borowsky joined Christiana Care in 2005 and serves as the director of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology as a member of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center. He completed his fellowship training in gynecologic oncology at the State University of New York, Health Science Center at Brooklyn, N.Y.,in 2004. Dr. Borowsky then stayed at the State University of New York as an assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology, where he continued to train residents and fellows in the field of gynecologic oncology.

Dr. Borowsky previously served in the U.S. Air Force, where he achieved the rank of major while assigned to the 436th Medical Group at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware. Dr. Borowsky completed his residency training at North Shore University Hospital, New York University School of Medicine in 1997. He graduated with honors from University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1993 and received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science …degree from Cornell University in 1989.

He performs open radical surgical procedures for a range of gynecologic malignancies as well as advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery including cancer staging and radical hysterectomy. He prescribes, administers and follows patients requiring chemotherapy for advanced or recurrent malignancies, or those at a high risk of recurrence. Dr. Borowsky serves as proctor for the da Vinci surgical system supervising other physicians who are learning the procedures.

Dr. Borowsky is board certified in gynecologic oncology and in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a full member of the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists.
