When thorough non-surgical options have failed, spinal surgery sometimes may be considered. Many successful low-risk spinal surgeries can be done minimally invasively, through a one inch incision or smaller. I consider about 70% of the spinal surgeries that I perform to be microsurgeries. I have performed about 5600 surgeries in my career (that's a lot!), and yes, experience does matter. We have first-class high-tech operating rooms with all brand new equipment at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. I am also adept at all the latest and most advanced spinal surgeries and techniques. Two things that I guarantee is that I always recommend to my patients what I would do for myself with straight forward understandable advice, and I will always give you plenty of time to speak to me and address all of the questions you want answered. He did my spinal fusion and did a wonderful job. He is the only one I will let work on my back. I am in need of the rods extended and went to make an appt with him just to find out he left town!! :( I guess I am going to Tulsa because I need the work done and he is the only one I want to do it!!!

Dr.hsu had done a spinal fusion surgery on my back on 11-12-18.fully knowing he was moving to Tulsa Ok.and now i am left without follow up care.no dr.will see me up to a full year after the surgery.knowing he was leaving he should not have done the surgery.i am currently still having the same symtoms prior to the surgery Now he cant continue to give me care.very unprofessional.i live in Ks.

Horrible doctor!!!! I got MRSA and he gave me pills instead of IV meds. I was given two weeks to live after it got into my bones. I lost my job of ten years because there was a delay in getting well. His nurse was giving my person info to my cp-workers. Please dont go through what I did!!!!!!

He really needs to work on his bedside manner. Or maybe just work on the whole doctor thing..he doesn't seem to have that part down yet!

this doctor saved my life. I had an acoustic neuroma that had grown on to the brain stem. He was very honest and direct about my options and my chances. His professionalism is excellant. I will eventually have to have additional surgery and I hope he is the one that will be doing it. I have nothing but the utmost respect for this man.

Dr Hsu did my back surgery after 3 other surgeons turned me down saying it couldn't be done. Dr Hsu did a wonderful job and I feel my surgery resulted in at least a 95% improvement in my condition. Thank you Dr. Hsu.

I would not recommend him to anyone. he messed me up and now I am disabled for life and then left without notice to me as a patient. I know others he has done the same thing to.

Dr. Hsu is an excellent surgeon. There are few in the field with the knowledge and skill he possesses. He also demonstrates concern for his patients and their health.
