Dr. Gina Marie Hartmeier, MD

DO NOT put your mental health issues in the hands of this person! She runs an unprofessional office that does not answer their phones nor do they return calls! She has left my daughter without her meds 2x due to lack of being able to communicate leaving us no alternative but to go to the E.R. to have her prescriptions filled!

Dr. Hartmeier was the only psychiatrist within 200 miles to return my call when my family member was in severe crisis. She made plans to see us the very next day even though it was the middle of Christmas holidays. She spent hours with us at that first appt and sent us for appropriate bloodwork as we left her office. She went above and beyond to communicate with our family doctor and forced his hand at continuing to work the patient up for physical illness causing the mental anguish, though the PCP wanted to just insist the situation was "only" a mental health problem. She left no stone unturned to reach the correct diagnosis. Yes, she is a little quirky, but in a fun endearing hippy kind of way. In my life I have met a few psychiatrists, all of whom were complete egomaniacs. Dr. Hartmeier is a real person and never gives you the feeling or impression she is smarter or better than you just because of the initials behind her name. I recommend her to anyone in need of… compassion and understanding.

Prescribed a lethal dose of lithium because she didn’t look at my file. Ended in the emergency room. I almost died. She is very unprofessional and breaks Hepa laws by discussing personal information in front of other patients.

It is very hard to believe that this woman is a licensed medical doctor. She is rude, extremely disorganized and negative. I could go on and on but will try to be respectful and keep it short. Look at the overall ratings for her as it speaks volumes to how bad of a doctor she really is. If there was an option for zero stars, I would have left it.

Gina Hartmeier has no affliliation at all with Saluda Center. Please don’t think the Saluda Center would have anything to do with her not even as a consultant. She shouldn’t have a license to practice anything. Stay away from her. She almost caused my death. Saluda Center is a wonderful place with caring people. They accept insurance and new patients.

I rate a BIG ZERO!!!!Extremely disappointed! Taken off off adderal “cold turkey” after 2 yrs at 1 pill/day and in less than a month I was on 5 or 6 meds- 2 that I was allergic to after 1 pill and they totaled (say 5 meds because it was ridiculous- to 11 pills per day, if 6 meds it was 13 pills /day and that didn’t count allergy or asthma meds.

She is a very kind and caring physician that works to get your medication correct so you feel better. She cares and wants the best for you even going out her way when she doesn't need to.

The most rude, unprofessional physician I have ever encountered.
