Dr. Ginny Merryman, MD

Dr. Merryman has been absolutely outstanding through both of my pregnancies and deliveries — one in June 2020 and most recently in January 2026. She continues to provide exceptional care, compassion, and professionalism. Right now, I am navigating postpartum depression, which has been one of the most vulnerable seasons of my life. Dr. Merryman, Sharon, and her nurse are actively supporting me through this. They listen without judgment, respond quickly to my concerns, adjust my treatment when needed, and make sure I feel heard and understood. Their care goes beyond routine appointments — they truly care about my well-being, both physically and emotionally. Having a team that takes my mental health seriously and walks alongside me during this time means more than I can express. I am incredibly grateful for their continued support and highly recommend this practice to any expecting or postpartum mother. I feel safe, supported, and genuinely cared for here.

I just love Dr. Merryman! She has been my OB/GYN for just over 30 years! She is amazing and takes the time to help me with my most unusual health situations. She had excellent bedside manner when I delivered a baby and years later when I had a hysterectomy. I can't say enough good things about her!

In a very eventful circumstance, my husband and I were told to evacuate our home town due to a major storm coming through during my 39th week of pregnancy. Our family is in Maryland and thus we headed north. Searching around Dr. Merryman came the highest recommended, as well as GBMC. I speak with the highest amount of gratitude when I say Dr. Merryman took us on immediately, while other doctors turned us away because of the risk on their practice. Dr. Merryman is extraordinarily composed and professional, but compassionate and honestly couldn't have made it through last round of contractions without her. Indebted to Dr. Merryman for the greatest gift of the safety in the birth of my first child and the superb care given by her practice as well as GBMC.

I am surprised that I see negative reviews on Dr. Merryman. I have not had surgery or a delivery, but I have been seeing Dr. M for many years for my annual gyn exams. Never has she been rude or abrupt with me. She has always been gentle, caring and efficient. When I had to have a second mammogram, she personally called to offer assurance that it didn't necessarily mean I should be concerned. I was impressed that she personally called me. Her office staff has always been very reliable and prompt in person and over the phone. I recommended Dr. Merryman to my daughter and I would recommend her to anyone.
