Great doctor, horrendous staff...

I've been a patient of Dr. Mery's for over 3 years, and have nothing but great respect for how she treats me as a patient. I understand that staff members come and go, but one common thread among (almost) all of Dr. Mery's staff is rude beahvior. It's very strange and frustrating to not be able to speak to a receptionist about things such as insurance/payment or scheduling a visit without feeling belittled. The worst of the offenders, though, a thin young male, has been gone for 2 or so years.

office staff

Dr Mery is very nice, but avoid her office staff at all costs. They will make your life miserable if you deal with them. They don't even know what insurance companies they work with, and the billing people are even worse.

Excellent diagnostician with great bedside manner

Dr. Mery is very good at coming up with diagnoses - and treating the patient as an individual, listening, giving time. This sometimes makes her run late. She diagnosed my husband after 4 top-ranked Washingtonian specialists failed to do so for 6 months...
