We took my 3 month old into see this doctor because he was having a reaction to dairy via breastmilk. A pediatrician also suggested cutting soy but before doing that I wanted more solid information from a pediatric allergist. Boy was I in for a trip to the twilight zone. First off he never even looked at my child. He did not have any information on what was going on with my son because his nurse didn’t pass it along or have the correct information. I would ask him questions and he would reply sarcastically in a riddle like he was the cat in the hat. I wanted to leave ASAP but we wanted a skin test done. He tested for soy and dairy both came back negative. So we had questions about what he was reacting to. This doctor had no answer. After we finally got a word in telling him about my sons symptoms he says “I’m intrigued by this. Let’s reintroduce dairy for 3 days”. Why would I introduce dairy to my son who could have an intolerance. He claimed milk protein wasn’t passed through… breastmilk , then said he wanted to test my breastmilk and asked me to eat dairy and pump. I asked how long it would be in my milk then because I didn’t want it to reset the 5 week detox we have done and he replied “a few days I guess”. How do you guess? You’re a specialist with allergies- you’re a doctor. Basically we just said ok sure just so we could get out of there and he left saying “come bAck in a month after doing dairy for 3 days. This could be a learning experience for all of us”. My child isn’t your study Dr. Quack. Don’t waste your time going to this man.

This man really is crazy, and he doesn't care. He asked me if my 5 yr old drinks or smokes. He told me I probably live in a dusty house. And went on to list 6 or 7 different potential conditions my son could have. However, he wasn't sure what it could be. He gave my son a sample allergy pill, and then told me it would cause insomnia and nightmares. Then he yelled at his staff for scheduling a late appointment. I've never been this outraged by a doctor visit.

I don't get why the bad ratings. I was in such horrid shape coming in 5 mos. pregnant and couldn't breathe at all due to asthma/allergies. He knew the exact right combo of meds to put me on to save us an immediate hospital visit. He is professional, quick to understand what is going on, thorough, and kind. Why are you guys rating his bedside manner poorly just because he doesn't kiss your bum? Just sayin...

This doctor is incredibly insensitive and has a poor bedside manner. He was referred to us by our pediatrician and was very insensitive to my son's issues. I found him to be very condescending and seemed to already had a diagnosis without really looking my son over. I would not recommend him to anyone. You can find a better allergist than this one!

Dr. Kline did skin testing on my infant daughter. Several of the test were positive. He simply said do not eat, milk, eggs, peanuts, etc. He scared us to death and provided almost no teaching on how to avoid these things in my diet (I was breastfeeding). He then said come back in 3 weeks (for what?). This was a red flag for me and I believed signaled a want to bill for unnecessary visits and testing. We have since seen allergist at Texas Children's and another pediatric allergist. We had a vastly different experience. They all questioned why an allergist would need to see her again in 3 weeks and made follow up appointments for one year. They also told us the rates of how often the allergy testing is negative and confirmed via blood test that she was not allergic to those things. He freaked us out for no reason. When I walked into his office, I had a feeling something was not right about him. I wish I would have listened to my instincts. It would have saved a lot of worry.
