I chose "Saved My Life" as the title of this comment because without Dr Rankin's expertise I would not be able to use my hands. Ten years he did surgery on both my hands to resolve my arthritis issue. This surgery consists of removing the trapezium bone and replacing it with a "soft joint" of ligament that created scar tissue. I was at a point where I could not use the thumb on either hand. I could not hold a pencil or pen. My hands were essentially useless. In addition, his training in surgery left imperceptible scars.

Communication between Dr & Physical Therapist vaguely instructed, and not monitored closely enough. The time between Dr and patient visits too far out to properly recognize problems.

Dr. Rankin took the time to clearly explain his diagnosis so that I had a full understanding of my problem and the options that were available to me to solve these problems. Pleasing manner and humor. Treated me like I had the intelligence to understand the situation. Refreshing
