Dr. Glenn Howard Weyhrich, MD

Dr. Weyhrich was my first gyno from the time I turned 19 in 1974. I literally loved the man, he was so gentle and I had had no experience with exams or needing birth control, etc.However, in the fall of 1998, I consulted him regarding my irregular periods, some with very heavy bleeding. He suggested trying a method of suctioning out the uterus - I later found out that was the equivalent of a 'D and C' - I'd never heard of it, or even knew what that term meant. They told me that some people ask to be knocked out for it, but that it only took 2 minutes. I was scheduled as the last patient for that day, the nurse told me I should take a Tylenol. Dr. Weyhrich then gave me MOST painful two minutes of my entire life. He spent 30 seconds in each 'quadrant' and I was screaming, as the nurse held my hands tightly. Afterward, I had two thoughts - I would NEVER see him again, and NO WONDER they schedule those for the last appointment of the day. Any patients in the waiting room would have run… out of there screaming themselves.
