Dr. Golnaz Moazami, MD

Dr. Moazmi is no longer at NY Presbyterian...She is at Northwell ..Where she has cancelled 4 of my appointments..Overbooked?..Overworked? Go Figure

I made an appointment MONTHS in advance, and I received confirmation on the appointment a few days before the appointment. Only to then get pushed out another month! Additionally, you will sit in her waiting area for almost an hour before she sees you. She's a very good doctor, but I highly recommend that you find another doctor that's more organized & respects your time more.

I have been seeing Dr. Moazami for about 20+ years and she saved my eyesight from Acute Glaucoma! She has always been very accommodating to me and I have referred my family to her as well. She treated my husband, and still treats my uncle and my son. She is a kind provider with a strong humanistic quality that is not always found in physicians.

I found her to be an outstanding Doctor. Extremely caring, very professional. I was a new patient and when she found out about my symptoms, she found room in an already filled Schedule. She had me come in immediately and did all the appropriate testing make sure I was stable. She takes her time and listens intently to make sure you get the best possible care

Dr. Moazami is the doctor you always hope for, but seldom see. She listens. She takes the time to respond carefully and fully to the questions you ask. I was referred to her by a top neurosurgeon, and it is clear why he has so much confidence in her capabilities.

My experience with Dr. Moazami has been one of the best. She makes you feel comfortable and gives you the utmost advice as to your concerns and vision problems. I would recommend her highly. The office staff is pleasant and professional. EC

The doctor was distracted throughout the appointment by many things going on. She said she would test my vision for a new set of glasses, but forgot and dilated my eyes, which meant she could not check my vision and I would have to come back. Instead of apologizing, she said she was doing the refraction as a "favor" anyways. During the appointment, she discussed a prescription she would be sending to the pharmacy, but when I went to pick it up, I found out she had forgotten to do that, too, and I had to contact her on the weekend to get it done. Then when I contacted her to check about returning for the refraction during the agreed upon time window the following week, she did not respond to the message.

Her office is horrible, very rude, slow, unprofessional people. She spends 5 minutes with a patient, and does not answer any questions. She literally kicks you out of her office when you are still talking. She is very unprofessional. Most of her patients are 80+y.o. who have all day to wait. She is also not responsive, she does not read emails, and calling her office is a nightmare. You have to pay a copay before seeing her and then you will get a bill saying to pay again. Her practice is all about making money and seeing the most patients possible in the shortest period of time. Avoid!

Absolutely love Dr. Moazami. I've been seeing her for about 15 years. I've recommended her to many friends, all of whom feel the same about her. I once overheard three people in her waiting room swapping stories about how she'd saved their lives because she suspected brain tumors, which were subsequently treated. She is smart, caring and takes her time. And she knows her patients.

I have been a patient of Dr. Moazami for many years. I have recommended her to many of my friends and acquaintances. She is extremely knowledgeable, caring and spends as much time as needed to explain everything. She never rushes you. She was recommended by a Columbia neurologist because of her sub specialty in neurology. While you occasionally do have to wait a bit on crowded days, Dr. Moazami is one of the few doctors where I don’t mind waiting, because I know I will get a complete and thorough examination. If I could put my name here I would, but will end by saying I have seen a number of ophthalmologists in my life And she by far is the most superior.
