Dr. Gordon Kim Tenn, MD

Dr. Tenn was my OB twenty-five years ago. On my first visit, I asked if I could deliver with a midwife. He said the hospital system only used midwives so unless I had a problem, I would deliver with a midwife. Then...he told me the sex of my baby after I had asked that it not be revealed. But the birth... I was happily laboring with a midwife that I felt comfortable with. I was pushing at this point. Dr. Tenn walks in, all robed up and is like, "I'll deliver you". As if he was doing me some favor. What a ego. This is after I had told him I wanted a midwife. Well, this created quite a scene in the birthing room. The hospital midwife felt powerless to say anything. I was in late labor with no medications. Luckily, I had two doula's with me and they knew my wishes. They handled the awkward situation. "Ummm, Dr. Tenn, I'm pretty sure she wants a midwife". He sauntered off looking offended and I never saw him again. It's taken me 25 years to understand how messed up… this event was. Dr. Tenn is no feminist. He clearly does not listen to the request of his clients.

This "doctor" is as rude as a doctor can be. I went into his office because unfortunatelly I didn't have any other doctor I could see, big mistake. I was in the last trimester of pregnancy and let me tell you either he thougt it was funny to see me in pain or he is just an idiot. First off, he doesn't even know what a 4d ultrasound machine is, well he knows what it is but doesn't know much about it, besides what everyone knows, that it is an ultrasound machine. He shoved his finger in my unmentionable to measure how low the baby was and as I screamed on the table, the monster just kept on going as if it was funny and as if I hadn't told him like 2 times about having pain. Such a rude idiot!!! I would tell anyone to stay away from this monster, I don't think he should have a license, he is very rude, insensitive and has no understanding of how a woman's body hurts when pregnant. Do youself a favor and stay away, unless you want to get out of his office and go home to take tylenolS… because your down there is burning and hurting from how he "examines" his patients! When he was done examining me, he basically kicked me out of the office and didn't even let me ask questions about the baby and the pregnancy. I don't know, to me,this is not a doctor, it is an idiot!!!
