Dr. Goutham Vemana, MD

Took six days for this doctor to call me about the tumor on my kidney. Basically said we would just wait and see. Went to another urologist today who discussed in detail my options. This is what should be done with anyone who never had a tumor diagnosis. The worse part of going to Triangle is his mean and nasty nurse. I would never recommend anyone go to Triangle.

I highly recommend asking if you will ACTUALLY see Dr. Vemana when you schedule your appointment, because I spent a lot of time trying to find a good urologist, drove an hour, and ended up seeing the Physician's Assistant and never saw the doctor. No explanation was given. Another parient's review on this site says the same thing so it must be a common occurrence.

Based on the other reviews I’m sure he’s a good doctor, but I wouldn’t know. I paid a $40 copay to see a specialist and only saw the physicians assistant.(fraud?) I waited four weeks to see this Dr, and was thoroughly disappointed with the care I recieved. The pa was very nice but could not answer any of my questions. After begging for answers she finally offered to get the Doctor.(after trying to usher me out twice.) I left without getting any of my questions answered, because It was clear the Dr did not want to see me. The average salary of a urologist is nearly $400k, and based on my expierence this Dr cares far more about profits than the patients. The patients shouldn’t have to beg to see the specialist they paid money for. I scheduled an appointment with a doctor not a physicians assistant. Also I spent far more time filling out paper work that had nothing to do with my visit, than I did being examined(I thought AHN was going paperless?) I spent well over an hour… waiting though!

Had one visit so far and the experience was very positive.

Dr. Vemana office evaluation was right on. He answered all question. He performed surgery several weeks later in a skilled and professional manner. He appears to be well respected by his office staff and hospital staff! Highly recomend.

Dr. Vemana is a very smart and intelligent doctor. His Webster office will never return phone calls but the smaller office will. The young girl at the front desk always checks me in and calls me back since their phone system it terrible.
