I am glad I am reading how other patients were treated. I went in as a sick call and the first thing he said, why are you here? Are you sick? That point we n I was treated rudely and when he was done he walked out, went to a different room and slammed the door as hard as he could. I walked out to be checked out.... stunned. The staff wouldn't even look at me. She took my copay and I whispered, i won't be back. Even though this happened years ago..... His demeanor still haunts me. What do you expect from where he received his degree which displayed on the wall while I was sitting there waiting to be humiliated.

Have had issues with scheduling an appointment and then the doctor was in a hurry to leave at the end of the day. I was on time for the appointment but was given little time or attention at the visit.

He is rude and frequently takes on a belittling demeanor. He is hasty and doesn't listen to all of your symptoms and makes medical judgements based on preconceived beliefs without considering all the facts of your condition. He will have you come in even if he is fully aware he is not capable of helping you because he wants your money for seeing you. All in all, friendly advice, stay away and find another doctor who listens and who actually cares.

I feel like you have to go thru too much explaining and getting opionions that don't matter to get to see him and feel its not worth it:((

Dr. Hormell and his staff are without a doubt the best in this area. They are kind, friendly, caring and professional at the same time! I switched my kids from their pediatrician to Dr.Hormell, he treats them like human beings not a number and gives them his undivided attention and all the time they need. We love Dr Hormell and his staff, you will too!

i have been seeing Dr Hormell for 10+ years. He knows his stuff! does not havee a lot of time for whiners, will give it to you straight. My whole family now sees him and i tell all my friends. no big corporate medicine here, you feel like part of the family.

I was generally not thrilled with the level of treatment I recieved. The level of expectations i have for my PCP is at a higher standard and I do not feel I will recieve it if I continued as a patient here.

I was sick for a week with the worst cold and sore throat and told it may be mono. The nurse took a culture of my throat and dr hormell gave me a paper to take in for a mono spot but said i needed to wait a week and see him again before I go in. My strep culture came back positive so Dr. Hormell said I couldnt have mono and strep throat and wouldn't send me for the mono spot as he originally was going to. i did not get better and and a few days later switched doctors and not only HAD mono but my spleen was severly enlarged. If you read ANYTHING on mono, you will find it is KNOWN to come with strep throat. I was lucky to switch doctors and will never go back to hormell.
