Dr. Greg Allen Brown, MD

Thought my husband had a possible mini stroke or TIA for a very important reason (and he had before) - couldn't get him in the day of because my husband was at a convention. When we arrived for his appt the following day Dr. Brown asked how the ER went. We asked what he meant. He said he told his staff to tell me to take him to the ER - they didn't deliver the message. He said he was sorry and would speak with his staff. Said he was going to order a MRI, carotid artery ultrasound and scan of my husband's heart aneurysm. Hospital couldn't schedule for 10 days. Said they could get my husband in sooner if Dr. Brown ordered STAT - I asked Suzette to please ask Dr. Brown to order STAT. Didn't happen. Hospital told me they needed the operative report and location of the stents from the surgeon who placed them faxed over, I told Dr, brown's son and asked if I was to get this - he said no he would. I asked if I should follow up to make sure the hospital received them - he said no he would. I… called 3 days before the MRI and was told they received a physical exam, not the info they requested and would need to cancel and reschedule the MRI - I said no please, I I'd get it to them today. Called and told Suzette this needed to be received today - she did get that done. After the MRI, no one calls for days - Dr. Brown's son calls with a neurologist referral. I call to ask why and find out about the MRI results as its now been 4 days- Suzette tells me they are at a different office today and sorry the records are not at this office. I said, "well, surely if something was wrong Dr. Brown would have called right?" And she starts laughing! Yes laughing. . .tells me, "I don't know about that but I am telling you I cannot give you the information because it's not at this office." So, I call the other office the next day. Dr, Brown's son tells me the neurologist referral was made due to the MRI showing a possible mini stroke. When asking about the heart aneurysm scan he hems and haws. I asks if he will email the reports - he says yes. I don't receive the reports. The next day I go to the office - bottom line. MRI has no mention of any possible stroke and they failed to order the heart aneurysm scan. Suzette tries to tell me the carotid artery ultrasound is the aneurysm scan and I tell her no it is not - show me where it says the size of the aneurysm - she says excuse me - goes in the back, then returns saying there is nothing in your husband's chart about a heart aneurysm! Really!? And last - we were also told they'd get my husband a handicapped parking placard because he has some trouble walking - that never happened either. So, my assessment is if we are in dire need of medical help, I don't want these people as our teams members or calling the shots!

Dr. Brown has been my doctor since 1992. His manner is thorough and concise . I trust his instructions/actions to keeping me healthy. He is the best doctor in Orange county

Dr Brown took care of my parents until their deaths from multi system diseases. He was always kind, demonstrated compassion, and provided excellent clinical care. He is now my husband's doctor and he is another complex medical patient who has specialists following him, but our trust is in Dr Brown to manage the big picture as a primary care doctor is meant to do. I also see Dr. Brown but fortunately, to date,on a less frequent basis.
