Dr. Greg Alan Horton, MD

Would give Dr. Horton zero stars if that was an option. Went to him for bunion surgery because my 2nd toe was crossing over my big toe (causing pan) due to bunion causing my big toe to angle inward. He did a 2nd surgery later, at my expense, because my 3rd toe was then crossing over the 2nd toe. Result of 2nd surgery was my 2nd & 4th toes cross over my 3rd toe and 2nd toe has a dead toenail due to the pin he put in during 2nd surgery. Dr. Horton admitted later he just shaved the bunion and the bump came back right away, my foot has pain even several years later and the bunion is worse now than it was before either surgery. Dr. Horton seems to get good reviews for ankle replacements but not for bunions or toe issues.

Dr Horton and his team did exceptional with my ankle surgery. The medical office is a well oiled machine and always followed up with messages and phone calls within a reasonable time considering how busy they are! I would recommend Dr Horton in a heartbeat to anyone needing ankle/foot surgery. Always make sure you follow his post op instructions!

Dr Horton takes his time with you and answers all questions. He is very caring and incredibly knowledgeable. His nurses were wonderful. Melina is fantastic!! He runs behind because he doesn’t rush through your appointment. I’m very thankful to Dr Horton for staying with me through a lengthy and difficult injury repair.

I had suffered foot pain and had seen several doctors over the past several years with poor results. Dr. Horton correctly diagnosed the problem and corrected it surgically. He is very kind and, while busy, has answered all my questions.

This man is smart and knows what he is doing. If it wasnt for all the surgeries he has done. I wouldn't be walking. For all the people who say they are in more pain. U have to learn to live with it. If u want to complain about wait times. The get up and walk out. I'm telling u. U will not get a better Dr.

Goes above and beyond treatment. The best.

3 1/2 years ago I had surgery on my left foot. I thought I was in alot of pain when I was referred to Dr Horton. Ever since he did my surgery (removed 4th and 5th metatsal head joints of my left foot) I cannot stand or walk any time at all without major pain. My pain before the surgery was but a fraction of what it is now. It has been 3 1/2 years and I cannot wear a regular shoe on that left foot. I am 69 years old and having this surgery has been the worst medical choice I have ever made.

How I wish I never let this man convince me that he would make my foot better! I suffered from bunions and hammer toes. I picked which foot was worse of the two to have surgery done. All he told me was that "you may not be able to wiggle your toes again". How I wish that was all that is wrong today! The bunions are returning after only a year, one toe is now crossing over on to the one next to it and I have constant pain and swelling in the foot. He has ruined my foot! How I wish I had never gone to see "the best orthopedic surgeon in the KC area"! What a farce!

Dr Horton is straight forward. If you follow his advice you will recover as your told. The wait is very long. But remember a lot of people are there to visit him too. He's only 1 man so you will need to wait. For me hes best of the best so I'll wait.

Dr. Horton is amazing! I'm able to walk a little because of him. Love him!!
