Dr. Gregg A. Vagner, MD

First of all, I am the first to give a compliment. I am not one to say something unless there is a true concern. I am here to say my hand surgery left me with a bone protruding from my skin after the surgery Dr. Vagner performed. I called the office to express my concerns before I left this rating and I spoke with his office. I gave complete details about the concerns I had. The lady I spoke with said she would look into it and get back with me. NO ONE ever called back. I had to have a pin put in my hand during the duration of my cast. I asked Dr. Vagner if the pin was going to hurt when it was going to be removed. His reply was "It's not going to hurt me." (He thought that was funny.) I nearly fainted when it was pulled out. I saw stars and fell to my knees from the pain. I am constantly hitting my hand on the protruding bone that was left in my hand from the surgery. I will now have to have ANOTHER surgery to CORRECT the surgery he did incorrectly, which will cost me another… 5 GRAND. I consulted with surgeons at Scott and White where I had PT for the surgery in my hand. Numerous surgeons looked at my hand and asked what kind of surgery I had. None had ever seen the kind Dr. Vagner had done. It should have been a simple ligament repair tendon interpostion, or something similar, but instead I have a hand that has a protruding bone sticking out and hits everything I pass. I wish I would have done more research. Please do yours before you go to see this man.

Absolutely terrible. Bad communication. They rescheduled my appointment and didnt call to tell me until the last second. They then left a bizarre message that I couldnt understand, never using the word rescheduled, only *mumble*mumble*reminder*mumble*. So I show up really early only to be told its delayed. I had told everyone repeatedly that I had a needle phobia. On the phone I was promised numbing cream and that theyd use gas to knock me out before they did anything. After they delayed my procedure and I have to show up AGAIN, they go back on all their promises and say they arent going to do anything at all for my phobia. Then they try to act like I hadnt told anyone! I told everyone! Repeatedly! Many, many phone calls asking exactly what they would do! So they messed up the schedule and want to rush everything! While waiting I overheard another patient saying that he also was not told until the last second, and he was told that everyone had known the appointments were going to be… rescheduled days before! They should let patients know that! Every single person was rude and not at all understanding or reassuring. The anesthesiologist and wrist surgeon both have a severe attitude problem. If you want to be treated like a HUMAN BEING go to someone else. 0 stars out of 5.
