Dr. Gregory C Dobash, MD

Been a patient of his for years, as long as he was in my area. When he moved to Ashland I kept getting nurse pract. for check ups and refills. My husband is ill and I could not seem to get a time to correspond to when the doctor was in. I was told they had someone in the office he used to be in. Went there because they worked hand and hand with Dr. Dobash. ( I was told )Had oral surgery all teeth plus usual arthritis from computer work. Had trouble getting prescription re-filled even with the 3 month refill. Now I have appointment with Dobash (NP) made months ago. They called told me that I was not able to see Dobash anymore. He no longer would care for me because I went to their "rural" place of practice. What is going on???? His care was not poor just this treatment. I believe it has to do with St Lukes Health Care.

Dr. Dobash is a very personable, caring and competent doctor. Unfortunately, his practice is a satellite of Saint Catherine's Medical Center in Ashland PA. All in office lab work is done at Saint Catherine's. The billing is done through St. Catherine's. I have had several issues with St Catherine's. I had billing errors I could not get resolved. The cost of their lab work is outrageous. Example: Blood test (cholesterol panel) was billed at $256! even though it was a wellness visit (covered at 100%). I made 15 calls and could not get the billing error corrected! And from using Castlight, I could have had the test done for $27 at several local labs! and this is just one example of 3 issues I personally experienced. No wonder St. Catherine's won't list prices for their procedures on Castlight! Again Dr. Dobash is great his affiliation with St. Catherine's is terrible.
