Dr. Gregory George Machiko, MD

This doctor saved my life when he discovered a serious condition during a routine exam. He immediately called in a surgeon and we got the issue resolved. That was 15 years ago! He is still taking care of my digestive health with routine exams and follow up visits. I went to two other gastro doctors before visiting Dr. Machiko and they were clueless! Dr. Machiko is a fine medical professional with a wealth of experience!

I have been a patient of his for over 10 years. He saved my life. He is very knowledgeable. He has always taken time to listen and has always included me in decisions regarding my treatment. He is kind and has a sense of humor. He did have some rude staff in his office but that changed. I have recommended him to numerous friends and others. They were all pleased. I would not go to anyone else

I have been a patient of Dr. Machiko's for almost a decade and I see all these negative comments and while the complaints about the staff, namely his office manager, Missy/Michelle (her real name), are true, she has since been fired and the overall professionalism is top quality now. He is very knowledgable and has a good sense of humor, though different. As a doctor, he is one of the best, and now that his office is under the supervision of better and nicer people, he is much nicer and calmer. Couldn't be happier. The office is more efficient, the staff is friendly, and always return my calls.

This doctor is insensitive and not professional at all. Does not answer any questions just berates you for your age, weight and that you have to use insurance. Complains that the hospital gets the majority of the insurance payments not him. Does not answer any questions regarding your condition just prescribes medications and unnecessary tests. Find another more professional doctor.

I wish I had read these reviews 6 months ago before taking this guy on as my GI specialist. My last “visit” with him was an Endoscopy where he instructed my husband that I should continue on the medicine that he prescribed for me. 2 weeks later the med needed a refill and he would not answer the pharmacy faxes or phone calls. When I called I was told since I had my colonoscopy by another GI doctor I was no longer under Dr Machiko’s care and to get my new GI doctor to fill it if I wanted it. I said, the only doctor I have seen for this Ulcer is Dr Machiko-he did both Endoscopies & all of my consults. I was told I should’ve thought about that before I had someone else do my colonoscopy. Seeing this doctor was a nightmare from day 1, this was just one example of how they treat patients. Sad.

I liked Dr. Machiko but his office staff is rude. It took a month and half and I still couldn't seem to get an appointment. I switched Doctors and had an appointment the same day!

I like Dr. Machiko. I find him to be very knowledgeable, and he explains things in terms that you can relate and understand. However, his office manager leaves a ton to be desired. She could force me to look elsewhere, and that's sad that a good doctor would start losing long term patients because of an office manager. She needs a lesson in manors.

55 Years old - lived in 5 different states and 3 different countries - best dentist I've ever had. Totally trust this office with whole family's dental care. Have had cleanings to crowns and everything in between. Did fabulous veneer work on my daughter. LOVE Dr. Machiko and the whole staff!!!

Worst doctor and staff I have ever dealt with. Do yourself a favor and find a different dr.
