Dr. Gretchen Lowell Campbell, MD

Although the place was a little hard to find, it is a hidden gem of a doctor's office attached to the hospital. I was a little anxious about seeing a new doctor. Dr. Campbell was very welcoming and professional. She was interested in what had been happening in the past and my present symptoms leading to a thorough examination. She talked to me about possibilities and asked many questions to rule out or confirm. I did not feel rushed nor did I have to wait to be seen long. A procedure was done the next day, Tiffany her assistant was friendly and reassured me several times. Dr. Campbell calmed me when I thought I couldn't do the second part. She was very clear about what was happening and why it was necessary. Medicine was prescribed to alleviate one symptom and I feel so much better. I am having further testing but I feel confident with her, there will be a resolution to my issue.

At first I thought I finally found a neurologist who listen to me. But after spending 30 minutes with her. She diagnosed me with anxiety and said that all my symptoms were caused by that. However she ran no test she had none of my medical history she didn’t know I had auto immune diseases and she I didn’t listen to one thing I said in regards to how my symptoms started what the triggers were and how bad things are.. Find a different doctor she will trick you into thinking she cares and then prescribe unnecessary medical test and unnecessary Very expensive medication without knowing any of your history what you can and cannot take. Ridiculous

I've been a patient at KCA for over six years and have been highly satisfied with Dr. Campbell and her staff. I've never had any problems scheduling appointments, obtaining refills, or anything else I've needed for that matter. In emergency situations, the staff has even gone out of their way to ensure I was able to be seen. Pay no attention to the negative reviews. You can't expect a person to cross oceans if you aren't willing to jump puddles for them. It's all about establishing rapport!!!!!! I'm one of KCA's biggest cheerleaders. I don't even live in Franklin, TN but wouldn't consider going anywhere else.

If you go to this office you will be very disappointed after the initial consultation, you will never see the Neurologist again, just her staff. Not to mention the fact that their office closed down for a month with no explanation to their patients. Don't go this clinic, there are way more qualified neurologists out there.

My experience with Dr. Campbell was very negative. Her office is absolutely exploding! She was not familiar with my file and had me on only one out of four migraine medications. This error caused me numerous unnecessary emergency department visits due to her negligence. This "mistake" took her three months to figure out. Her office staff is completely incompetent. They took three months to submit my application for Botox even with continuous follow up calls weekly. Ms. Campbell even had to shut down her office for two weeks due to the incompetency of her staff. This is an unacceptable practice for any office to shut down for two weeks and be unavailable to their clients. In the two week period, she hired new staff which are even worse than the prior staff. I asked the office staff to do a task for me in which I called everyday for follow up. They promised they would have it done by a certain deadline that was on the form. They were completely unresponsive and showed no type of… responsibility that this had not been done when the deadline passed. Phone calls to the office were never picked up and calls were never returned. Also, whenever my pharmacy called for further explanation on a prescription. As most prescriptions were written incorrectly, they never picked up the phone.

Referred to the wrong doc for my diagnosis. Lost my MRI disk. Didn't remember that I had an aneurism on the second visit. It is like they never knew I was there.

I am a new patient and I was very impressed with Dr. Campbell's kindness and concern. However, dealing with the staff has been a nightmare. I tried for a month to get a test scheduled and eventually had to reschedule my appointment with Dr. Campbell because the test had not been scheduled in time. Four different messages I left were not answered. Then, I was in need of a renewal of a prescription from my former neurologist or information as to stopping the medication. I spoke to a staff member last week about this & then again today & it was obvious that nothing had been done. I did complain and had a quick call back with a refill. Dr. Campbell seems to be so great & it's a shame these staffing problems are causing people to turn away. My last comment would be funny--they have moved their office & I learned about it almost by accident. I was assured I would receive an e-mail with this information but so far not. Maybe this is a hint!!

I have been a patient of Dr Campbell for almost 3 years. She has worked diligently to assist me in every way to manage my condition. I would highly recommend her as a Neurologist and specialist. Her entire practice has been both attentive and kind.

I seen Dr. Campbell for the first time around three years ago and the experience was wonderful. I'd seen two neuro's before I found her and they we uncaring about my migraines and never requested that I have an MRI done. Dr. Gretchen changed that and acted like she actually wanted to find out what was wrong. Well, my migraines are back again so I scheduled to see her again last week. First of all, the woman at the front desk was VERY rude and barely even acknowledged me when I tried to check in. I arrived at my app 15 minutes early and there were already three people ahead of me. Time went by...about an hour...and I was STILL waiting to see Dr. Campbell. Then, a man who was AN HOUR late for his app. showed up (after I'd already waited and hour) and was taken back to see the doctor before I was...this delayed seeing Dr. Campbell even more and I didn't get back to the examination room until almost TWO HOURS after my app time. I was furious, but the doctor was once again very caring and… determined on trying to figure out what is causing my migraines. I grabbed my drug samples and left. I was told that I needed to have an MRI done. THREE DAYS LATER no one from the office had called the imaging center to order the MRI. I had to ask someone at the imaging center to call Dr. Campbells office to ask that the order be faxed to them. I was told at 9am that morning that it would be faxed over within the hour...this was not done. I was also told that the office manager would be calling me to apologize...this was not done. Finally, after calling the neuro office and leaving 5 voice messages, one nasty, I got a call back that night around 7pm from a VERY rude woman who basically told me I needed to be more patient and that it was being handled. Excuse me? You don't tell someone they need THEIR BRAIN scanned and then NOT schedule the test. I am going to go and see Dr. Campbell for my follow up app. after my MRI but after that I will not be back. It's a shame too, she really is a wonderful doctor.
