Dr. Gustavo Horacio Day, MD

Been a patient since August of 2021. The office staff is incompetent! They won't even answer the phone or call back! You cannot get the information you need or referrals in a timely manner!! I'M DONE WITH THIS OFFICE AS OF 1-1-24!!

Your assessment of Dr. Day is so flawed and biased. Dr. Day has been my doctor for the past 9 years. I go to him once a year for annual check-ups and he is very skilled and caring. I know because I am a clinician myself in ICU with 26 years of experience. I don't know where you are getting your data from when it comes to prescribing unneeded drugs but it sounds unreliable and slanderous. Before you decide to take someone down because of a bad experience, think about all the good things that are being done for other patients.

Listens to what you have to say and doesnt make you feel uncomfortable.. I've never had a long wait and they treat you with respect and concern. I'm so glad I found this Dr. 5 STARS

He has the worst staff & follow-up & why does this man see every patient he can’t fit in exceeding 100 patients each day? Because he needs every penny he can make so if you’re potentially ill know he nor his staff follow up on anything except your bill. That line that starts at 6 am could just be “Breaking Bad by Dr. Day” if you catch my drift. He’s nice, some write handsome but does that translate to a doctor worth waiting 4-6 hours for? I suppose for the patient population he sees & can write many Rx’s in the time you’re verified for your ability to pay he may be your guy. He writes a lot of questionable RXs yet I’m sure risking your life to a nice, cute doctor must mean he's a stellar diagnostician. Except he’s not, he’s fine for the flu b/c that takes a swab of your mouth that’s why any nurse practitioner can do the same for less time & money. You’d probably get better care from anyone other than this poser, albeit a very nice one who uses books w/pictures to explain everything.… He pawns everything off that can’t earn him a quick buck. There are so many incredible, highly capable doctors that will give you outstanding care for the same if not lower fee w/i 20 minutes. You don’t need to spend hours upon hours as he allows the quota his lifestyle necessitates. Be careful if you or your loved one is remotely ill get off that filthy floor & get yourself to a doctor & staff who will return your calls & follow up w/you & your specialists. Do you really want a doctor who sees over 100 patients a day 6 days a week? If you’re getting your fix then it makes sense because no other good doctor by proper care standards would ever be so careless or rely so heavily on Medicare patients. He gave my elderly loved one 60 Xanax with lots of refills. He didn’t return ours or the ER’s many calls when his beloved patient was having a stroke or lapsed into septicemia. He failed to return ours, anyone connected w/her care, numerous calls and never did follow up. Instead another doctor took over her care who weaned her off the Xanax that was so freely RX’d. I would never send my worst enemy to this farce of an office unless you want to meet a Gus Frenge of your own who also dabbles in the flu. Your wait is required b/c his staff is busy coding your very lengthy bill. I wish anyone had written about his lousy staff & the SRO situation at this filthy office. This is the very opposite of a great doctor it is however the sign of a doctor who will see anyone for anything, as long as they can pay. GAIT abnormalities, is that a system of the flu that’s treated w/Xanax & Vicodin? It’s all about the money & you too can get whatever Rx’s you want, I mean need.

Dr. Day takes very good care of me. Which is not an easy task! I am a mess! He is understanding, realistic, and kind. A dear man who truly cares for his patients.

My elderly parents have been patients for a few years and the wait to be seen is always more than 30 minutes. He recently expressed frustration that my parents require so much of his time. He recommended hospice care for my dad since he's 92 years old; 8 months later my dad may no longer require this care as his health has greatly improved. My family is looking for a new doctor who will not feel burdened by the needs of elderly patients.

Dr. Day is so good and popular that he have so many patients, sad to say he take his time with every single one, very professional and caregiver, office is always full, they open at 6:00am till I don't know, even Saturdays, I think dr. day should cut his patients a least in half, it's my personal opinion. but if you still want to go, go with plenty time

I gave an overall rating of 3 out of 5. To begin with, I give the doctor himself a 5. I have been coming to him for about 9 years. He is caring, compassionate and interested in you and treats you like a person not a medical record #. He takes the time to explain his diagnosis and why he feels his treatment plan is in your best interest. He will take as long as you need to feel comfortable in your visit before you leave. The staff is lacking terribly. Very unprofessional. The office is messy and appears unorganized. Honestly, if I had a serious health issue I doubt I would come to this office although I adore Dr. Day personally. In conclusion, I love Dr. Day but his office needs a major overhaul both staff and appearance. That being said, I will continue to visit Dr. Day because HIS ability, regardless of how I feel about the staff.
