Dr. Gwen Haas, MD

Listening to patients is the most important thing for a doctor to do. In this regard, Gwen Haas of Lake Health in Ohio fails miserably. I went to see her to have a couple of prescriptions renewed. She immediately said that one of my prescriptions was “very weird.” When I tried to explain the history of my condition, she interrupted me repeatedly and said that the prescription was “very bizarre.” After several interruptions, I became disgusted with her refusal to listen to me and left the office. Further, Dr. Haas recently diagnosed my wife with diabetes. Dr. Haas did not share the test results with my wife, results that would have been very helpful. She merely asked if my wife wanted to control it with diet or with medication. My wife said she wanted to control it with diet, but Dr. Haas did not offer any nutritional guidance or advice, nor did she provide a referral to a nutritionist. Dr. Haas may know enough about medicine to get through medical school, but she knows absolutely… nothing about relating to patients.

Dr Haas and her staff are amazing, she is Veteran friendly and attentive to needs of Veterans. I love this doctor and her staff. To the point that I drive from Columbus to see her.

Thorough, caring, smart, down to earth. So very happy that she is my doctor.

Dr Haas was my primary care physician. She does not track when you need bloodwork, or standard tests and relies upon you to tell her what tests to run. Example: I went to her for a physical, which was not thorough at all, and when I was about ready to leave without any mention of bloodwork. I asked if there was blood work to be taken, such as Lipid panels etc. She said, yes, that's a good idea.

Great family doctor who explains everything to you in layman's terms. High level of trust and very very smart.

I told all my friends and relatives to go to this doctor. She took care of me so many years ago and I found her again. I am so lucky. She is the best.

Dr. Haas is wonderful. She listens and is very thorough in attending to concerns and medical issues.

Dr. Haas does not listen and is always in a rush to leave the exam room. She has a habit of talking in a scolding manner and diagnoses conditions that are better left to a specialist. She doesn't even bother to read medical reports that are sent to her from specialists. She is the worst doctor I've even seen and I can't believe that she ever got a license to practice medicine. I will never go to her again!
