Dr. Hani Fayek Erian, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Erian since I was diagnosed with kidney disease in 2012. He has guided me through how to keep what little kidney function I have left and gotten my high blood pressure under excellent control. He is kind, compassionate, caring, highly intelligent, and has a terrific sense of humor. He spends a lot of time with me so that I understand everything: blood test results, use of a blood pressure cuff, what I can and cannot eat, what the diagnosis numbers mean, and how the medications work. Last year I was in the hospital and they changed a lot of my medicine. When I got out and saw Dr. Erian, he told me they shouldn't have done that and had to change everything back. In addition, he told me that a medication another doctor gave me was interfering with one he had me on. He instructed me to take his medicine at a different time than the other doctor's med, so both would work without interfering with each other. This is a good doctor! He also answers questions… left with his staff by calling back quickly. If he doesn't get you at home, he'll call again and is willing to play 'phone tag'. How many physicians call you to answer your questions?! He's thorough, keeps up with test results, makes sure you have your medicine with plenty of refills, and, like I said above, will make you chuckle while you're there.
