Dr. Harish Raja, MD

Dr. Raja was born and raised on the west coast of Florida. He graduated magna cum laude from Duke University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and was inducted into the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He then ventured farther north and received his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. After medical school, Dr. Raja completed an internship in internal medicine and a residency in surgical ophthalmology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Raja is one of few doctors who are dual fellowship-trained. He completed a cornea and refractive surgery fellowship at UC-San Diego Shiley Eye Institute and spent an additional year gaining advanced training in laser cataract surgery and refractive surgery at Boston Eye Group/Boston Laser. Following fellowship, Dr. Raja entered private practice on the North Shore of Massachusetts where he also held staff privileges at Harvard’s Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. Returning to his home state …of Florida, Dr. Raja is happy to be joining MedEye Associates as a cataract, cornea, and refractive surgeon. Dr. Raja is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and maintains professional memberships with the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
