Dr. Harrison L Jackson, MD

Dr. Harrison Jackson is the best doctors one can find in Columbus. He is very knowledgeable and gives honest opinions about my problems. If you want a doctor to treat a disease, he is the doctor to go.

Will not return. Will be looking for another doctor. Didn’t get the idea he cared about me, more about his position, less about helping.

Dr Harrison Jackson is very intelligent, most likely breezed through medical school and boards and has many successes. One thing that can not be taught to someone is compassion, caring, kindness, sympathy and empathy because these things book smart, intelligent people either have or they don’t, can be developed, but Dr J. doesn’t seem to have these qualities as far as I could see. At your own risk see.

His reviews on some sites are good. He has terrible bedside manners and appears to have problems with different kinds of people. Not a people person and doesn’t have patience with people which if you are going to treat patients you should have patience, be adaptable with different kinds of folks and treat each person as an individual not as a one size fits all kind of work. Everyone is different so therefore doctors should be flexible and not have a superior position like I am the doctor so I should know what is best for you attitude...like their way or the highway. Excuse me???, but I drive this body and my mind and I know something about both of them in a way better than you even if I am not a doctor and frankly a doctor should respect this and listen without judging or being impatient and Dr Harrison Jackson DID NOT-do this at all!!! Not at all, so he has a lot to learn, he’s a puppy and will take years to be a kind doctor with tenure and people skills!!!! IMO

Very immature and he doesn’t like it when someone disagrees with him. He hurt me and it’s a huge wonder I lived through his rough handling...you see my doctor was retiring and I was looking for a doctor to replace my doctor. Read reviews on sites, felt he was a good choice and was very excited when he had an opening, but let me tell you ...it was horror and horrible at the same time, the meeting/appointment, was a nightmare...it was one of my unluckiest days of my life!!!!...he acts like a spoiled child who didn’t get his way and he really hurt me! I hope you never cross him, because if you do...he will hurt you! Stay away! BEWARE!!!! You have been forewarned! Shouldn’t be a doctor...my old doctor was kind and gentle, good, mild and sweet... this doctor is the opposite of what I had been used to...what a surprise..an obsolete nightmare!!!!! Hope his manager reads this! It bothers me someone so cruel has his license and certifications to practice on real live people!!!!

This doctor is intelligent and appears to have people skills on the outside. On the inside this is a different story. He took an oath to do not harm, but must have been absent, asleep or paid no attention to the oath during the ceremony. Beware, Do not chose this doctor, keep looking you will be glad you did.

I had a similar experience as the “clinical” reviewer. The doctor was hyper focused on my weight. “Treated me” for anything I asked a question about. My “treated for” list had at least 8 things on it. I was there as a new patient looking to take him on as a primary care physician. If you’re thin, you may get decent care. However, I don’t think a heavier person would get unbiased care with this physician.

I think that he is a knowledgeable doctor. However, our first meeting was dominated by him suggesting various things that could be wrong with me because I am fat. I am willing to talk about my weight but I don't want to spend a whole appointment ruminating on the what ifs. Please, examine me, take blood work, and see if those are issues that pertain to me before speaking on them at length. I also did not appreciate the list of things I was "treated' for. Which seemed to be everything I answered yes to on my intake sheet. I think he will take care of you just fine on a medical level. He was very intelligent. Just lacking in bedside manner.
