Dr. Harry L E Dennis, MD

We have been with Dr. Harry for a couple of years now and can not say enough good things about him. He is just great.

I have two boys and Dr. Dennis has been their pediatrician since they were born. They have had everything from chronic ear infections to hand, foot and mouth disease. Dr. Dennis has always been extremely knowledgable, caring and helpful. I couldn't recommend him more highly!

Avoid Dr. Harry Dennis at Palo Alto Medical Foundation if you care about your child. Being a doctor, I have experienced first hand the treatment Dr. Dennis provides to his patients. He uses medical assistants to give immunization injections, and his assistant injected the immunization all the way to the bone. Not once but twice. This is unacceptable, and I can tell you that I have given injections to children before, and hitting the bone with needle is not an acceptable practice. Not once but twice. Clearly the assistant doesn't know what she is doing. Unfortunately, not that many parents have an experience in hearing the noise of needle when it hits the bone. When I complained to Dr. Dennis, his response was I should find another pediatrician and he did not even bother to ask how my son was doing from injections earlier that day. Personally, I think Dr. Dennis needs to think about why he went in medicine. Why he is using medical assistants instead of a qualified pediatric… nurse? Well, I can only guess that medical assistants are cheaper. Do you want your child to be treated, get injections, etc. by least qualified medical personal? Look up on Medical Board of California website what qualifications are required to be a medical assistant in California. I was shocked to find out. If you still want your child to be treat by least qualified personal then go to Dr. Harry Dennis at Palo Alto Medical Foundation. As for me, I would much rather give injections by myself or only allow a registered nurse to administer injections. Intramuscular injections in an infant or child is not to be taken lightly.
