Dr. Harry Naonobu Yoshino I, MD

He's the Dr. For all 4 of my pregnancies. The best!

I am currently expecting my first baby and feel that care is a little lackluster. I find myself waiting at least 15 minutes past my appointment time and once inside the exam room the appointment is very rushed, I am lucky to get 10 minutes total with the Dr. As this is my first pregnancy I have a lot of questions, some of them silly, but the responses I get are very short and at times he seems annoyed with them. The office staff are always very friendly and helpful.I feel let down by the experience I am getting.

Doctor does not seem to eager to help, not too welcoming like other doctors I've seen before. Doctor Yoshino was not talkative, had a flat affect, and very little to no emotion when having a conversation about diagnosis and procedure. Doctor Yoshino was not informative about pregnancy classes, etc, during my first pregnancy. Dr. Yoshino did not really explain procedure prior to performing the procedure, he did not warn me of the discomfort. But his medical staff was nice and welcoming.

I had to reschedule the appointment twice because he had changes to his schedule (that was ok because I was given enough notice). When I did go to his office, my appointment was at 3:30 pm. I was on-time, but did not see him until 5 pm. The very first time I met him, he got on a soapbox about my weight gain during pregnancy up till that point. His manner got me so upset, that I was actually crying in the exam room even before he broke the horrible news that I had a miscarrage. His attitude after telling me remained clinical. So, not only am I dealing with my loss, he made my weight a huge issue for me. Not only am I trying to get over the fact that I've lost this baby, which my husband and I wanted very badly, I'm also feeling extremely guilty for putting on so much weight (basically for nothing) that I had worked so hard to loose just prior to becoming pregnant AND I feel even worse that it's even an issue right now when I should be dealing with the loss! This guy's probably fine… if you're on target for your weight gain, but if you have body issues to begin with, DO NOT see him!!!

He knows what he is doing. Very intelligent and I didn't worry with him as my doctor. However, he is not always as friendly or as caring as he should be.
